Background The surge in the twin burden of malnutrition - undernutrition and overweight/obesity - poses a severe threat worldwide including India. The adult group, primarily considered as an economic pillar of the society, suffered significant health problems, yet their nutritional issues are often neglected. Screening of nutritional status through anthropometric measurements is widely accepted.

Endometrial carcinoma accounts for 97% of all uterine malignancies and 3 % of sarcomas that develop from the endometrium's glands. Endometrial cancer is frequently found in its early stages since most women quickly report postmenopausal vaginal hemorrhage.

OSA may be caused by mandibular deficit, bimaxillary retrusion, increased lower facial height, extended soft palate, a large tongue base, and a posteroinferiorly positioned hyoid bone.

The Bragg reflections of the as-formed product confirm the formation of a cubic phase with 3̄ space group. The crystallite size, crystallinity and other structural parameters are discussed.

Various genetic and environmental factors play a role in developing oral clefts. Several studies have shown the association of the gene and the 8q24 region with these oral clefts in different populations worldwide.

The etiology of NSCLP is complex involving multiple genes, environmental factors, and gene-to-gene interactions. Several genome-wide associations (GWA) studies have shown the association of the paired box 7 ( ) gene in the etiology of cleft lip and palate in different populations worldwide.

Materials And Methods: This prospective study included ten patients with maxillary or mandibular osseous defects present due to enucleation of periapical cysts or alveolar clefts requiring bone grafting and for lateral ridge augmentation that were treated with PCL scaffold. The patients were assessed clinically for pain, swelling, infection, and graft exposure at 1 week, 3, and 5 month postoperatively and were also evaluated radiographically for bone fill using intraoral periapical and/or panoramic radiographs at 4, 6, and 9 month postoperatively.
Orofacial clefts (OFCs) are the most common congenital birth defects in humans and immediately recognized at birth. The etiology remains complex and poorly understood and seems to result from multiple genetic and environmental factors along with gene-environment interactions. It can be classified into syndromic (30%) and nonsyndromic (70%) clefts.

Dislocation of the temporomandibular joint, which represents 3% of all dislocated joints reported in the body, occurs when the mandibular condyle is displaced anteriorly beyond the articular eminence. Although anterior dislocation of the mandibular condyle is well documented in the literature, superior, lateral, and posterior dislocation of the condyle is rare. Only a few reports documenting superolateral dislocation with anterior mandible fractures have been published in the past.

Objectives: This study was conducted to compare the outcomes attained using two different designs of skin incision used for surgical correction of unilateral cleft lip.

Structural changes in the choroid, a layer located between the retina and sclera, could indicate various vision impairments. Consequently, ophthalmologists inspect optical coherence tomography (OCT) scans of the posterior section of the eye towards making diagnosis. With a view to assist diagnosis, we propose an automated technique for segmentation of the choroid layer.

Objective: To determine the relationship between the changes of soft and hard tissues after anterior segmental osteotomy and to evaluate these changes using cepahalometric and photometric analyses.
Materials And Methods: Ten patients aged 18-30 years who underwent anterior segmental osteotomy were included in the study. Preoperative and postoperative records consisted of lateral cephalogram and frontal and lateral photographs.
Chondromyxoid fibroma (CMF) is a rare benign mesenchymal tumor of the bone. Clinically, it is characterized by a lobular growth pattern and histologically by chondroid and myxoid differentiation. The tumor is rare in the craniofacial bones with only 2% of all reported cases.

Metastatic tumors of the oral cavity are rare, representing about 1% of oral tumors. Seventy percent of all tumors metastatic to the oral and maxillofacial region are adenocarcinomas, most commonly originating from the breast, kidney and lung. Carcinoma of stomach is generally described as one of the "captains of men of death".

Fibrous dysplasia (FD) has been regarded as a developmental skeletal disorder characterized by replacement of normal bone with benign cellular fibrous connective tissue. It has now become evident that FD is a genetic disease caused by somatic activating mutation of the Gsα subunit of G protein-coupled receptor. Here we report a case of bilateral monostotic FD in a middle-aged female showing a classic histological picture, but radiologically presenting as a mixed radiolucent radiopaque lesion showing nonspecific cystic degeneration.

This study sought to evaluate postoperative recovery after mandibular third molar surgery, with and without the use of sutures. This study utilized 50 healthy subjects (19 females and 31 males, 18-40 years of age) with bilateral impacted third molars. Two impacted teeth were removed from each patient (60 min maximum operating time).

Materials And Methods: Twenty healthy subjects belonging to both the sexes in the age group of 18-40 years with bilateral mesioangular impactions of mandibular third molar teeth underwent surgical removal under local anaesthesia by administering an inferior alveolar nerve block on two different occasions with a minimum interval of 1 week in-between the procedures. The postoperative pain was recorded on visual analog scale, a verbal rating scale, a pain relief scale and a pain intensity scale.
