Ayurveda Management of Allergic Rhinitis: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial.

Background: Allergic rhinitis (AR) is the inflammation of the membranes lining the nose due to allergen exposure and is characterized by sneezing, nasal congestion, itching of the nose, or postnasal discharge. The prevalence varies worldwide, perhaps due to the geographic and aeroallergen differences, with 10% to 30% of the world's population experiencing AR. In this study, Anu Taila Nasya, Naradiya Laxmivilas Rasa, and Shirishadi Kwath will be compared to a fluticasone nasal spray.

Ayurvedic Management of Presbycusis (Project TOPMAC): Protocol for an Exploratory Randomized Controlled Trial.

Background: Presbycusis is characterized by sensorineural hearing loss in both ears at high frequencies, which affects more than half of the older adults by the age of 75 years and is often accompanied by tinnitus and cognitive deterioration. Unfortunately, there are no treatments available to restore hearing loss. Treatment mainly focuses on improving the quality of life and communication with hearing aids.

Health and demographic indicators of selected districts of India: An impact of Swasthya Rakshan Programme (SRP).

(SRP) provides health care services through Ayurveda, an initiative of the Government of India that aims to survey and create alertness of essential health appliances to ameliorate society from its grassroots level. The present study aimed to survey the prevailing health standards of residents in certain districts of India and to record the prevalence of diseases among them according to their living conditions, food habits, lifestyle, education, occupation and other socio-economic status. Data was collected through a community-based cross-sectional survey conducted from April 2018 to March 2019 in 22 Districts of 19 states in India.

Chemoprofiling and medicinal potential of underutilized leaves of Cyperus scariosus.

Agro-waste is the outcome of the under-utilization of bioresources and a lack of knowledge to re-use this waste in proper ways or a circular economy approach. In the Indian medicinal system, the root of Cyperus scariosus (CS) is used at a large scale due to their vital medicinal properties. Unfortunately, the aerial part of CS is treated as agro-waste and is an under-utilized bioresource.

An optogenetic method for the controlled release of single molecules.

We developed a system for optogenetic release of single molecules in cells. We confined soluble and transmembrane proteins to the Golgi apparatus via a photocleavable protein and released them by short pulses of light. Our method allows for a light dose-dependent delivery of functional proteins to the cytosol and plasma membrane in amounts compatible with single-molecule imaging, greatly simplifying access to single-molecule microscopy of any protein in live cells.

Rosie, a Health Education Question-and-Answer Chatbot for New Mothers: Randomized Pilot Study.

Background: Stark disparities exist in maternal and child outcomes and there is a need to provide timely and accurate health information.

Objective: In this pilot study, we assessed the feasibility and acceptability of a health chatbot for new mothers of color.

Methods: Rosie, a question-and-answer chatbot, was developed as a mobile app and is available to answer questions about pregnancy, parenting, and child development.

Smart City IoT System Network Level Routing Analysis and Blockchain Security Based Implementation.

This paper demonstrates, network-level performance analysis and implementation of smart city Internet of Things (IoT) system with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) level cloud computing architecture. The smart city IoT network topology performance is analyzed at the simulation level using the NS3 simulator by extracting most of the performance-deciding parameters. The performance-enhanced smart city topology is practically implemented in IaaS level architecture.

Communities of color experience higher maternal and infant mortality, as well as a host of other adverse outcomes, during pregnancy and postpartum. To address this, our team is developing a free, user-friendly, question-answering chatbot called Rosie. Chatbots have gained significant popularity due to their scalability and success in individualizing resources.

Introduction: Age of menarche (AOM), or the first menstrual cycle, is one indicator of female puberty. The timing of AOM can be influenced by social determinants of health (SDOH). This study examined associations between SDOH and AOM over the past 2 decades in the United States.
