Study on Clinico-Demographic Characteristics of Orthopaedic Cases in a Tertiary Care Centre: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.

Introduction: Orthopedic conditions include a range of condition varying from traumatic injuries, congenital anomalies, chronic back-pain, arthritis, rheumatologic conditions, and other. In Nepal, approximately 2.35 million people are living with musculoskeletal conditions in which 175,000 people are suffering with MSD from non-traumatic causes.

Barriers and Facilitators of Utilizing Research Among Nurses in Nepal.

Background: This study determined the perceived barriers to and facilitators of Nepalese nurses in utilizing research in the workplace. Evidence-based nursing practice provides the synergy for high-quality patient care, but it does not seem to be the case in underdeveloped countries, such as Nepal.

Method: A descriptive, cross-sectional study involving 97 nurses from Nepal was conducted.

Background: Falls frequency increases with age and particularly in neurogeriatric cohorts. The interplay between eye movements and locomotion may contribute substantially to the occurrence of falls, but is hardly investigated. This paper provides an overview of current approaches to simultaneously measure eye and body movements, particularly for analyzing the association of vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR) suppression, postural deficits and falls in neurogeriatric risk cohorts.
