Studies comparing the intentional increase in oxygen delivery and normal oxygen delivery during general anaesthesia in elderly patients undergoing major abdominal surgery are limited and have reported contradictory findings. Therefore, the study aimed to evaluate the effect of intraoperative increase in systemic oxygen delivery on postoperative outcomes and quality of life in elderly patients undergoing major abdominal surgery. This randomised, blinded, parallel-arm, pragmatic clinical trial included elderly patients of >60 years of age undergoing major abdominal surgery.

Airway management can be challenging in pediatric oral tumors because of the distorted anatomy and physiological variations.

This systematic review aims to compare different ultrasound-guided procedures to determine which procedure is better suited for pediatric abdominal surgeries. The objective is to understand the efficacy of ultrasound-guided procedures for postoperative pain management in children undergoing abdominal surgeries and to identify which procedure takes less time and is better suited for a particular surgery.

This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of pre-operative ultrasound assessment of the neck in predicting difficult airways in patients undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia.

Although liposuction is considered a safe and straightforward method of body contouring, serious complications related to the procedure, including deaths, have been reported in the literature. We report the occurrence of ECG artifacts intra-operatively while performing chest liposuction under general anesthesia.

We aimed to analyze the clinical features of COVID-19-associated pneumothorax/pneumomediastinum in non-intubated patients and identify risk factors for mortality. We searched PubMed Scopus and Embase from January 2020 to December 2021.

Methods to prevent this complication are not definitive. A 21-year-old man with a large bronchogenic cyst was scheduled for cyst excision during which large quantities of purulent fluid spilled into the airway immediately after induction of anesthesia.

Postoperative parasternal intercostal block has shown to reduce postoperative analgesic consumption after cardiac surgery. Therefore, this study sought to investigate the effectiveness of the preoperative ultrasound guided parasternal block in reducing postoperative pain after cardiac surgery.

Here, we describe the case of a 3-month-old baby with life-threatening epicardial hemorrhagic blebs and an interventricular septal hematoma after perimembranous ventricular septal defect patch closure.

It also helps us to plan the appropriate anesthetic technique especially in difficult airway cases. Here, we discuss the importance of styleted tracheal tube in improving the accuracy of ultrasound guided tracheal intubation in anticipated difficult airway.
