Background: Appendiceal mucinous neoplasms (AMNs) are rare adenomatous primary tumors of the appendix. • Concerns about health care access have been raised for patients receiving care through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), prompting a study to evaluate wait times for new patients at VA medical centers.
  • The study compared these wait times to those found in the private sector (PS) across various specialties, using data from 2014 and 2017.
