Conclusion: Conclusions: With the beginning of the russian full-scale attack on Ukraine, russian atrocities in Bucha, Mariupol and other cities and villages of the country, many Ukrainian citizens asked about what has happened to the russian society, the state authorities, who set the goal of destroying Ukraine as a state and all its inhabitants as a nation.
Hippocampal theta-phase precession is involved in spatiotemporal coding and in generating multineural spike sequences, but how precession originates remains unresolved. To determine whether precession can be generated directly in hippocampal area CA1 and disambiguate multiple competing mechanisms, we used closed-loop optogenetics to impose artificial place fields in pyramidal cells of mice running on a linear track. More than one-third of the CA1 artificial fields exhibited synthetic precession that persisted for a full theta cycle.

However, the effect of spike timing on neuronal connectivity in the intact brain remains unknown. Using closed-loop optogenetic stimulation in CA1 of freely moving mice, we generated unique spike patterns between presynaptic pyramidal cells (PYRs) and postsynaptic parvalbumin (PV)-immunoreactive cells.

Preparations based on testicular regulatory polypeptides are the most physiological and universal, owing to a complex effect on the self-regulation of testicular tissue.
Aim: To study the delayed efficiency and safety of therapy with Fertiwell in patients with pathospermia and to assess the frequency of conception and pregnancy outcome in their partners based on the collection, analysis and interpretation of medical data.
Multiple biophysical mechanisms may generate non-negative extracellular waveforms during action potentials, but the origin and prevalence of positive spikes and biphasic spikes in the intact brain are unknown. Using extracellular recordings from densely-connected cortical networks in freely-moving mice, we find that a tenth of the waveforms are non-negative. Positive phases of non-negative spikes occur in synchrony or just before wider same-unit negative spikes.

A relatively new drug in this group is Prostatex, the active ingredient of which is bovine prostate extract.
Aim: To evaluate the effect of taking Prostatex on the intensity of CPPS, the sexual function, and the results of microscopy of expressed prostate secretions and urinalysis.
The brain propagates neuronal signals accurately and rapidly. Nevertheless, whether and how a pool of cortical neurons transmits an undistorted message to a target remains unclear. We apply optogenetic white noise signals to small assemblies of cortical pyramidal cells (PYRs) in freely moving mice.

However, C57BL/6 exhibit behavioral and sensorimotor disadvantages that worsen with age. We bred FVB/NJ females and C57BL/6J males to generate first-generation hybrid offspring (FVB/NJ x C57BL/6J)F1.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAccurate detection and quantification of spike transmission between neurons is essential for determining neural network mechanisms that govern cognitive functions. Using point process and conductance-based simulations, we found that existing methods for determining neuronal connectivity from spike times are highly affected by burst spiking activity, resulting in over- or underestimation of spike transmission. To improve performance, we developed a mathematical framework for decomposing the cross-correlation between two spike trains.

Whether other forms of spatial phase changes exist in the hippocampus is unknown. Here, we used high-density electrophysiological recordings in mice of either sex running back and forth on a 150-cm linear track.

However, placebo itself may affect subjective and even objective results. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the placebo effect on symptoms of CP/CPPS to improve future clinical trials.

One of the most discussed areas is potential of the virus to compromise the testicular function. However, the lack of prospective studies on this topic makes it impossible to draw reliable conclusions on whether the disease affects the male reproductive system and, if so, to what extent.

Monitoring allows you to identify hidden or periodically occurring (circadian) changes, which are not always possible to record with a single study. The research was searched in the PubMed and Elibrary.

Materials And Methods: This study was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, prospective, multicenter, parallel-group research.
Results: It was found that the drug has clinical efficacy and a positive effect on the concentration of spermatozoa in the ejaculate, the percentage of progressively mobile forms and the number of morphologically normal forms of spermatozoa was increased in the group of PPR-001.
Purpose Of Review: The aim of this study was to determine whether well timed start of medical and surgical treatment of benign prostatic obstruction (BPO) influences the treatment's effectiveness and thus the patients' overall functional outcomes and quality of life.
Recent Findings: Pharmacological therapy even in high-volume (>80 cm3) BPH typically begins with α-blockers sole and only subsequently are 5ARI added. Several studies showed that acute urinary retention (AUR) developed more frequently in men who suffered severe lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and who did not start combination therapy immediately.
Purpose Of Review: To investigate the possible effects of severe acute respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) on kidney function and assess the rate of viral ribonucleic acid (RNA) shedding/detection in urine.
Recent Findings: Most of the research on the topic suggests that for the moment our ability to estimate whether SARS-CoV-2 is a direct causative agent in acute kidney injury (AKI) or whether it has a cytokine storm effect is limited. During our prospective assessment of 333 patients with COronaVIrus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) it was found that frequency of AKI of 9.
Purpose: To evaluate the use of prostatic artery embolization (PAE) as a treatment option for patients with symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with prostate volumes of 80 cc and more.
Materials And Methods: The study included 75 patients with high anesthesia-related risks for conventional surgery (TURP). All patients were surveyed for symptom burden, using IPSS and quality of life score.
The goal of this study was to assess the ablation, coagulation, and carbonization characteristics of the holmium:YAG (Ho:YAG) laser and thulium fiber lasers (TFL). The Ho:YAG laser (100 W av.power), the quasi-continuous (QCW) TFL (120 W av.

The results of studies comparing the therapy of benign prostatic hyperplasia with 5-reductase inhibitors and 1-blockers are presented in the article. Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a common disease in older men. Pathogenetic treatment allows to block a progression of prostatic hyperplasia and is of greatest interest in the treatment of this disease.

Aim: To study the effect of low-intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy (Li-ESWT) therapy on a subgroup of diabetic patients with ED who are responders (PDE5I-R) and non-responders (PDE5I-NR) to phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors (PDE5I).
Methods: Analysis of pooled data from 5 double-blind, sham-controlled trials was performed.
Dysuria is the one of the most common conditions in urology. Although dysuria is not an independent disease, it accompanies a wide range of urological diseases of both infectious and non-infectious origin. Dysuria is traditionally understood as a feeling of discomfort, a burning sensation, or a sensation of pain during urination.

Derived by technological treatment of antibodies to prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOs), Afalaza was previously proved to modulate its molecular targets. The mechanism of action of the drug is associated with the modulating effect of the antibiodies (RA-Abs) on the molecular targets (PSA and eNOS) by way of conformational changes.
