Ketamine-induced sclerosing cholangitis has been described with chronic intranasal and intravenous use. Our case follows chronic topical use for peripheral neuropathy. It is also uniquely associated with early inflammatory bowel disease, a known complication of primary sclerosing cholangitis.

To evaluate the accuracy of these estimations, simulated wounds of randomized lengths were drawn on a healthy volunteer. Background: The purpose of this study was to determine whether healing of both bone forearm (BBFA) fractures in children and adolescents is associated with the stage of the olecranon apophysis development as described by the Diméglio modification of the Sauvegrain method.

Methods: Records were reviewed from 2 children's hospitals from 1997 to 2008 to identify all patients younger than 18 years of age who had BBFA fractures treated with intramedullary nail fixation. Sixty-three patients were identified meeting inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Background: We report the successful endovascular treatment of a coronary graft pseudoaneurysm using a technique often seen in intracranial aneurysm coiling.

Case Summary: We present an unusual case of a patient who presents with haemopericardium and haemodynamic instability after saphenous vein bypass grafting. A pseudoaneurysm rapidly expanded from 5 cm to 7 cm over the follow-up period producing compressive mass effect on the lateral right ventricle with transient haemodynamic instability.

Introduction: The Rule of 57 is an easy method for planning osteotomies and calculating translations when correcting spine and limb deformities.

Methods: The rule is based on the mathematical principle that a circle with a radius of 57 mm has a circumference of 360 mm where each 1° of the circle subtends an arc of 1 mm in length.

Results: Thus a 1 mm opening or closing wedge osteotomy with a width of 57 mm would result in 1° of angular correction.

Methane is a more potent greenhouse gas (GHG) than CO2, but it has a shorter atmospheric lifespan, thus its relative climate impact reduces significantly over time. Different GHGs are often conflated into a single metric to compare technologies and supply chains, such as the global warming potential (GWP). However, the use of GWP is criticised, regarding: (1) the need to select a timeframe; (2) its physical basis on radiative forcing; and (3) the fact that it measures the average forcing of a pulse over time rather than a sustained emission at a specific end-point in time.

Patients who undergo open reduction and internal fixation of distal clavicle fractures have a high rate of hardware removal and persistence of symptoms, particularly when attempting to return to high-demand activities. This study evaluated the outcomes of military servicemembers after surgical treatment of distal clavicle fractures. The authors performed a retrospective analysis of active duty servicemembers who underwent open reduction and internal fixation of Neer type II distal clavicle fractures between October 17, 2007, and July 20, 2012, with a minimum of 2-year clinical follow-up.

The influence of different levels of irrigation and of variation in atmospheric vapour pressure deficit (VPD) on the synthesis, metabolism, and transport of abscisic acid (ABA) and the effects on stomatal conductance were examined in field-grown Cabernet Sauvignon grapevines. Xylem sap, leaf tissue, and root tissue were collected at regular intervals during two seasons in conjunction with measurements of leaf water potential (Ψleaf) and stomatal conductance (gs). The different irrigation levels significantly altered the Ψleaf and gs of the vines across both seasons.
