Cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCL) are a rare collection of diseases, frequently associated with diagnostic challenges and complex management dilemmas. The multidisciplinary team is vital for accurate clinico-pathological diagnoses and for collaborative therapeutic decisions throughout the management journey, which frequently involves multiple lines of therapy. Radiotherapy (RT) is a highly effective skin-directed therapy for CTCL, commonly delivered as localised fields or as total skin electron beam therapy (TSEBT).

Objectives: To assess the effects of chemotherapy compared to chemotherapy plus radiotherapy in adults with early-stage Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Purpose: We aim to determine the current treatment patterns and recommendations among physicians for cutaneous lymphomas and to identify the types of skin lymphomas for which existing radiation regimens need improvement.
Methods And Materials: A questionnaire from the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer was distributed to all members of the Cutaneous Lymphoma Tumour Group and Radiation Oncology Scientific Council. This online survey included 13 questions regarding treatment practices for patients with cutaneous lymphoma.
Childhood exposure to interparental intimate partner violence (i-IPV) is a pervasive form of child maltreatment, posing major public health concerns and elevating risks for enduring adverse clinical and developmental consequences. However, assessing the full spectrum of clinical effects is challenging, potentially leading to inconsistent identification of children in need of early intervention. This systematic review aimed to identify hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical axis dysfunction following i-IPV exposure, elucidating the underlying biopsychobehavioural mechanisms and predicting adverse outcomes.

Design: In a national cohort of pediatric HSCT-recipients, we compared three TBI schedules; 12 Gray (Gy) delivered as (i) 4 Gy daily fractions from 2008 to 2011 (n = 12); (ii) 2 Gy fractions twice daily with two-dimensional (2D) planning technology from 2012 to 2015 (n = 16); and (iii) 2 Gy twice daily with three-dimensional (3D) planning intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) from 2016 to 2020 (n = 14).
Results: The 5-year event-free survival was 75.
This EHA-ESMO Clinical Practice Guideline provides key recommendations for managing primary DLBCL of the CNS.The guideline covers clinical, imaging and pathological diagnosis, staging and risk assessment, treatment and follow-up.Algorithms for first-line and salvage treatments are provided.

At the beginning of the current year it was replaced by the Social Code XIV (SGB XIV). The SGB XIV defines new groups of beneficiaries, outpatient trauma clinics must be provided nationwide and binding criteria for the quality of care were established.

The incidence of pulmonary diseases was examined in this Danish population-based study. A total of 1474 adult patients with cHL treated with ABVD (doxorubicin, bleomycin, vinblastine and dacarbazine) or BEACOPP (bleomycin, vincristine, etoposide, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, procarbazine and prednisone) between 2000 and 2018 were included along with 7370 age- and sex-matched comparators from the background population.

Methods: Thirty-eight institutions participated in the Global nLPHL One Working Group retrospective study of NLPHL cases from 1992 to 2021. We measured progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), transformation rate, and lymphoma-specific death rate.

JCO The primary analysis of the Early positron emission tomography (ePET) Response-Adapted Treatment in localized Hodgkin Lymphoma H10 Trial demonstrated that in ePET-negative patients, the risk of relapse increased when involved-node radiotherapy (INRT) was omitted and that in ePET-positive patients, switching from doxorubicin, bleomycin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine (ABVD) to bleomycin, etoposide, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, vincristine, procarbazine, and prednisone (BEACOPPesc) significantly improved 5-year progression-free survival (PFS). Here, we report the final results of a preplanned analysis at a 10-year follow-up. In the favorable (F) ePET-negative group, the 10-year PFS rates were 98.

Recent Findings: Recent research of peer-reviewed articles using operational or survey data revealed the pandemic's impact in terms of institutional responses, risk and mediating factors, changes in VAC dynamics, and a likely increase in child marriage. Findings include a decrease in institutional responses, activities, and prevention case openings; an increased incidence of interparental intimate partner violence (IPV) witnessing cases, hospital admissions for suspected Abusive Head Trauma (AHT), other pediatric injuries, and sexual violence; a change in family conflict dynamics; and an estimated increase in child marriages.
Introduction: Head and neck cancer (HNC) patients' anatomy may undergo significant changes during radiotherapy (RT). This potentially affects dose distribution and compromises conformity between planned and delivered dose. Adaptive radiotherapy (ART) is a promising technique to overcome this problem but requires a significant workload.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: Previous studies have shown that a large proportion of relapses in head-and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) following radiotherapy (RT) occur in the pretreatment FDG-PET avid volume (GTV-PET). The aim of the current work was to see if this was valid also in an oropharynx squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) only population, and to compare the loco-regional relapse pattern between HPV positive and HPV negative patients.
Material And Methods: Among 633 OPSCC patients treated between 2009 and 2017, 46 patients with known HPV (p16) status and isolated loco-regional relapse were included.
Follicular lymphoma is the most common indolent lymphoma accounting for approximately 20%-25% of all new non-Hodgkin lymphoma diagnoses in western countries. Whilst outcomes are mostly favorable, the spectrum of clinical phenotypes includes high-risk groups with significantly inferior outcomes. This review discusses recent updates in risk stratification and treatment approaches from upfront treatment for limited and advanced stage follicular lymphoma to the growing options for relapsed, refractory disease with perspectives on how to approach this from a personalized lens.

Prescribed radiation doses are reduced, and fractionation schedules are under revision. With effective systemic treatment only initial macroscopic disease is irradiated.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFPurpose: Involved node radiation therapy (INRT) was introduced in the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer/Lymphoma Study Association/Fondazione Italiana Linfomi H10 trial, a large multicenter trial in early-stage Hodgkin Lymphoma. The present study aimed to evaluate the quality of INRT in this trial.
Methods And Materials: A retrospective, descriptive study was initiated to evaluate INRT in a representative sample encompassing approximately 10% of all irradiated patients in the H10 trial.
Aims: Large blood volumes are irradiated when the heart is exposed to radiation. The mean heart dose (MHD) may be a good surrogate for circulating lymphocytes exposure. We investigated the association between MHD and radiation-induced lymphopenia and explored the impact of the end-of-radiation-therapy (EoRT) lymphocyte count on clinical outcomes.

Objective: To evaluate how preexisting cardiovascular risk factors (CVRFs) modify the association of mediastinal radiation and MI among a national population of NHL survivors with a range of CVRFs.
Material And Methods: Using Danish registries, we identified adults diagnosed with lymphoma 2000-2010.
Background: Consolidation radiotherapy for advanced Hodgkin lymphoma (AHL) is controversial. Precise knowledge of the most likely relapse location is crucial for radiotherapy planning. We performed detailed patterns of relapse analyses and evaluated if initial bulky disease, initial 18F-fluoro-deoxy-glucose (FDG)-avidity and/or a residual mass on computed tomography (CT)-scan after chemotherapy are sites with a high risk of relapse.
