Background: In recent decades, many studies are focused on different training modalities comparison in patients with cardiac diseases. High intensity aerobic interval training (HIAIT) has been considered as an alternative approach to moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT) in rehabilitation of patients with chronic heart failure (CHF).
Aim: To highlight the superiority of the modified group-based HIAIT intervention (m-Ullevaal) compared to the moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT), also to encourage physical and rehabilitation medicine (PRM) physicians to apply the m-Ullevaal intervention in routine cardiac rehabilitation (CR) practice.
Background: Blood parasites have been studied intensely in many families of avian hosts, but corvids, a particularly cosmopolitan family, remain underexplored. Haemosporidian parasites of the common raven (Corvus corax) have not been studied, although it is the largest, most adaptable, and widespread corvid. Genetic sequence data from parasites of ravens can enhance the understanding of speciation patterns and specificity of haemosporidian parasites in corvids, and shed light how these hosts cope with parasite pressure.

Methods: We compared quantum dots coated with non-crosslinked amino-functionalized polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers, quantum dots encapsulated in crosslinked carboxyl-functionalized PAMAM dendrimers, and silica-shelled amino-functionalized quantum dots.

On the basis of the experience with the contemporary coronary chirurgery with classical bypass technology under the conditions of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) are specified the complications that occurred in the patient. These complications, generalized as 'postperfusion syndrome' are filled out with common brain complications like embolism, insultus and these in neurokognitive sphere of the brain activity. For decrease the complications by the coronary operations from 1975 are developed new technologies for coronary revascularization under the conditions of 'beating heart' without CPB (off-pump technologies).
