Background: Acute ischemic stroke (AIS) due to anterior circulation tandem lesion (TL) remains a technical and clinical challenge for endovascular treatment (EVT). Conflicting results from observational studies and missing evidence from the randomized trials led us to report a recent real-world multicenter clinical experience and evaluate possible predictors of good outcome after EVT.
Methods: We analyzed all AIS patients with TL enrolled in the prospective national study METRICS (Mechanical Thrombectomy Quality Indicators Study in Czech Stroke Centers).
Background And Purpose: Rigorous and regular evaluation of defined quality indicators is crucial for further improvement of both technical and clinical results after mechanical thrombectomy (MT) for acute ischemic stroke (AIS). Following the recent international multi-society consensus quality indicators, we aimed to assess trend in these indicators on national level.
Material And Methods: The prospective multicenter study (METRICS) was conducted in Czech Republic (CR) in year 2019.
The study is focused on the analysis of physicochemical properties of selected nasal sprays of mometasone furoate, and the influence of these properties on aerosol quality and penetration in the pediatric nose. After the determination of drugs surface tension and viscosity, spray geometry and size distribution of aerosol droplets, the topical delivery of each drug to different parts of the pediatric model of the nose with the flexible vestibule was evaluated by colorimetric visualization. All tested drugs are pseudo-plastic liquids, showing some differences in flow consistency constant k (range 714-1422) and flow behavior index n (range 0.

Their deaths are caused mostly by agricultural fieldworks during spring harvest. Among the affected animals there are also fawns of roe deer (), which react to danger by pressing themselves against the ground in order to be protected from predators.

The differences in efficiency of particular medications proven by therapeutic index may result from differences in composition of particular formulations as well as from diverse deposition in nasal cavities. Intranasal formulations of glucocorticoids differ in volume of a single dose in addition to variety in density, viscosity and dispenser nozzle structure.

The water ecosystems of the lower part of the Hadůvka stream are impacted mainly by water originated from the springs located in the stream valley and drained syenit subsoil, naturally rich in uranium. Those inflows caused a very high concentration of uranium measured in the water of the stream, which exceeds the given limit value.

We characterized sources, pathways and uncertainty in contaminant accumulation for receptors at two RP ranges in southeastern Ontario. Based on these results, we performed risk calculations using kriging to estimate risk across "worst-case" species foraging ranges.

Soil PCB contamination has been delineated at 18 of 21 Distant Early Warning Line (DEW-line) stations being cleaned up by the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND). As a result, detailed surface soil delineation data has been reported for contamination exceeding 1 microg/g (dw total Aroclor), which is the remedial criteria for PCB contaminated soil under the DEW-line cleanup project. The results of this delineation work has allowed us to estimate the mass of PCB contained in surface soil at these sites and to quantify the DEW-line as a source of PCBs to both local and Arctic wide contamination.

Three of them were isolated tumors and in one case--tumors in external ears developed in course of general Recklinghausen disease. Two cases of neurofibroma in parapharyngeal space had different clinical, CT and microscopic picture.

Material And Methods: In the period of 1976-200 147 patients with complications of perinasal sinusitis were treated. As numerous classifications of paranasal sinusitis complications exist, the analysis of the material was based on the modified classification proposed by the authors.
A case of Wegener's granulomatosis in female aged 47 is described. Otological symptoms and signs connected with middle ear inflammation and masked mastoiditis about two months outstriped other signs particular from lower respiratory tract. The patient was surgically treated--antromastoidectomy was performed.

The patient underwent 5 times surgical treatment (polypectomies, sinus operations). Good result was achieved after 2-years application of itraconazole and local Amphotericin B.

Taking into account clinical examination and CT there was diagnosed subperiosteal orbital abscess but during surgery there was found hematoma. There has been discussed a clinical picture and a likely pathological mechanism of the complication as well as the performed surgical treatment.

Although only a small proportion of abortions performed in the United States are second-trimester abortions, teenagers obtain a large percentage of them. Yet the literature on abortion seekers is remarkably lacking in a discussion of who the pregnant teenagers who seek abortions are, particularly those who seek second-trimester abortions. We report a study of 97 adolescents who turned for help to a public abortion clinic in Missouri during 1989.

Treatment with either desmopressin acetate or cryoprecipitate normalized both bleeding time and kaolin-activated partial thromboplastin time. Hematochezia (five episodes) continued, however, for a week despite daily treatment with cryoprecipitate, whereas treatment with desmopressin at the onset of three later episodes of hematochezia resulted in the prompt cessation of bleeding.
