In recent years, bioactive lipids particularly medium-chain triglycerides and conjugated linolenic fatty acids have obtained more attention due to their possible applicability in obesity metabolism modulation. These compounds are capable to increase thermogenesis and reduce weight gain through the modulation of key neurohormones such as leptin and adiponectin. The purpose of this work was to develop functional yogurts through the addition of coconut (rich in medium-chain fatty acids) or pomegranate oils (rich in conjugated linolenic acids).

Most of the available measures of spatial segregation depend on the scale and size of the system under study, or neglect large-scale spatial correlations, or rely on ad-hoc parameters, making it hard to compare different systems on equal grounds. We propose here a family of non-parametric measures for spatial distributions, based on the statistics of the trajectories of random walks on graphs associated to a spatial system.

Studies report that almost one third of patients (pts) with triple-negative, one-third with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive and 15% of those with hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer will develop brain metastases. It is known that the development of symptomatic brain metastases in women with advanced breast cancer is associated with poor prognosis, irrespective of local and systemic treatments.

It remains unknown whether children and young people with inflammatory chronic diseases who acquire SARS-CoV-2 infection have a more severe course, due to either underlying disease or immunosuppressive treatments.
Objectives: To assess the epidemiological features and clinical outcomes of children and young people with inflammatory chronic diseases followed at Pediatric Rheumatology Clinics who were infected with SARS-CoV-2.
This systematic review aims to present an overview of the current aerosol sampling methods (and equipment) being used to investigate the presence of SARS-CoV-2 in the air, along with the main parameters reported in the studies that are essential to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each method and perspectives for future research regarding this mode of transmission. A systematic literature review was performed on PubMed/MEDLINE, Web of Science, and Scopus to assess the current air sampling methodologies being applied to SARS-CoV-2. Most of the studies took place in indoor environments and healthcare settings and included air and environmental sampling.

While complications in childhood are well documented, the natural history of achondroplasia in adults has, until recently, been relatively lacking, and little is known about the care they receive or how they access it. The European Achondroplasia Forum undertook two exploratory surveys, one for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and one for patient advocacy group (PAG) representatives, to gain an understanding of current practices of the transition process of individuals with achondroplasia from paediatric to adult services and how adults perceive their care.
