COVID-19 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), lead to a global health crisis with a spectrum of clinical manifestations. A potentially vulnerable category for SARS-CoV-2 infection was identified in patients with other medical conditions. Intriguingly, parallels exist between COVID-19 and cancer at the pathophysiological level, suggesting a possible connection between them.
