Hepato cellular carcinoma (HCC) is a type of malignant tumor. To investigate the proteins in cancer molecular mechanism and its role in HCC, we have used proteomic tools such as 2DE and MALDI-TOF-MS. Our investigation ravels that, plasma α-fetoprotein and carcinoembryonic antigen levels were elevated in DEN induced rats and gradually decreased after the treatment with 1,3BPMU.

Article Synopsis
  • Uncontrolled hyperglycemia can damage cell structures and organ functions, prompting a study on the effects of the anti-diabetic herb Cynodon dactylon on rat liver proteins related to diabetes.
  • Rats were induced with diabetes using alloxan and treated with leaf extracts of C. dactylon, and their liver proteins were analyzed using advanced techniques like 2D electrophoresis and mass spectrometry.
  • The study identified three key proteins that were up-regulated in diabetic rats, which play important roles in processes like cell growth and glucose metabolism, providing insight into the molecular mechanisms affecting liver function in diabetes.
