The use of thiazolidinediones as Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor-gamma (PPARγ)-modulating anti-hypertrophic therapeutics has been restricted due to major side-effects. The present study aims to evaluate the anti-fibrotic potential of a novel PPARγ agonist, deoxyelephantopin (DEP) in cardiac hypertrophy.
