Main Methods: We used RT-PCR, Western blot and immunohistochemistry experiments to demonstrate the presence of TRPV4 mRNA and protein, respectively in both pregnant and nonpregnant mouse uterus. Tension experiments were conducted for functional characterization of the TRPV4 channels.
