This study evaluates the adsorption capabilities of leaf extract residue for removing Crystal Violet (CV) dye from aqueous solutions. Fourier Transform Infrared analysis revealed diverse functional groups contributing to the material's hydrophilic nature and adsorption potential. Scanning electron microscopy images confirmed a porous, fibrous structure that transformed post-adsorption, indicating successful dye uptake.

Congo red, a persistent dye widely used in the textile industry, poses significant environmental hazards if not properly treated. In this study, the effectiveness of chitosan beads for removing Congo red from textile wastewater was investigated. A Box-Behnken design was utilized to optimize the degree of deacetylation (DDA) of the chitosan beads, achieving a maximum DDA of 95.

Methyl Orange, a toxic and persistent azo dye, poses significant environmental challenges in aquatic ecosystems. This study investigates the efficiency of a novel Chitosan@EDTA@Cellulose composite, synthesized by linking shrimp-derived chitosan and cactus-derived cellulose using EDTA as a linking agent. Comprehensive characterization techniques, including Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area analysis, were employed.
