The forthcoming generation of materials, including artificial muscles, recyclable and healable systems, photochromic heterogeneous catalysts, or tailorable supercapacitors, relies on the fundamental concept of rapid switching between two or more discrete forms in the solid state. Herein, we report a breakthrough in the "speed limit" of photochromic molecules on the example of sterically-demanding spiropyran derivatives through their integration within solvent-free confined space, allowing for engineering of the photoresponsive moiety environment and tailoring their photoisomerization rates. The presented conceptual approach realized through construction of the spiropyran environment results in ~1000 times switching enhancement even in the solid state compared to its behavior in solution, setting a record in the field of photochromic compounds.

Confinement-Driven Photophysics in Hydrazone-Based Hierarchical Materials.

Confinement-imposed photophysics was probed for novel stimuli-responsive hydrazone-based compounds demonstrating a conceptual difference in their behavior within 2D versus 3D porous matrices for the first time. The challenges associated with photoswitch isomerization arising from host interactions with photochromic compounds in 2D scaffolds could be overcome in 3D materials. Solution-like photoisomerization rate constants were realized for sterically demanding hydrazone derivatives in the solid state through their coordinative immobilization in 3D scaffolds.

This study describes the problems of the implementation of the fourth universal definition of myocardial infarction in the medical institutions of four cities: Volgograd (with Volzhsky), Yekaterinburg, Perm, Ufa, and districts of the Volgograd region. The multicenter study was conducted in the form of a questionnaire of specialists in cardiology and laboratory services. After a survey of cardiac specialists, it was found that a third of them did not see the benefits of the hs-cTn test recommended for the diagnosis of myocardial infarction, and almost half of the specialists surveyed believed that myoglobin was a necessary test for detecting myocardial infarction.

The article deals with study of the impact of standardization of blood smears preparation on effectiveness of functioning of Vision Hema system. The analysis was applied to the results of counting of 200 leukocytes in 30 blood smears prepared from venous blood stabilized with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid using thoroughly degreased slide plates and applying automatic device to prepare blood smears (comparative group) and in 49 preparations prepared manually from non-stabilized capillary blood (control group). The standardization of the procedure of preparation of glass samples resulted in five time decrease of total amount of artifacts and in disappearance of thrombocytes aggregates and pavement epithelium cells.

Simulation of incomplete obstructive uropathy in rats by injecting an artificial calculus into the bladder.

Incomplete varying obstruction of the urinary tract was reproduced by injecting artificial stomatological material into the rat bladder. Inflammatory changes and nephrosclerosis were detected in the renal tissue on days 14 and 21 of the experiment. Impaired inhibition of hydroxy radical and a drop of antioxidant enzymes activities and of the level of ascorbic acid in herpes-infected cornea and tears are factors in the pathogenesis of ophthalmic herpes. Measurements of enzymatic activities in the tears and saliva in herpetic infection are a valuable diagnostic test and a criterion of treatment efficacy.
