[Diagnosis and treatment of tumors of the infra-temporal fossa].

Authors present ten cases of tumors of the infratemporal fossa that have different etiology being treated by operation. Six of the patients died, four of them are alive. Authors describe diagnostical principles of these types of tumors.

[Morphological changes in rats during short-term chronic poisoning with Karbafos].

The animals were exposed to the shortened chronic poisoning with "Karbafos" in doses 20, 70, 250, and 850 ppm adminstered in fodder during 13 weeks. After the end of experiment, the animals were killed and their organs weighed. In the collected specimens, prepared histologically, were found the increase of the kidney mass and many nonspecific pathomorphotic changes.

Influence of estrogens on intraocular tension in the eyeballs of rabbits.

Iridocorneal angles from the eyes of female rabbits subjected to large doses of estrogens were examined under an electron scanning microscope. A temporary rise in intraocular tension was noted lasting up to 24 h after injection of estrogens, followed by a slow return to normal conditions. Histostructural changes of the iridicorneal angle were observed as widening of the marginal sector, enlarging of the dimple-shaped depressions and also increased number and narrowing of the micropores in the central part of the iridocorneal field.
