Aims: Implementing maternal depression screening in child-serving programs can help ensure that more mothers receive mental health services. This study examined the implementation of universal maternal depression screening in community-based Head Start programs.
Methods: Quantitative and qualitative data were merged in a convergent mixed method design to assess four domains from the RE-AIM implementation science framework (Reach, Adoption, Implementation, and Maintenance).
This study explores minoritized mothers' experiences in group interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT-G) and relates their experiences to treatment outcomes. Quantitative and qualitative data were gathered from 26 Latinx and Black mothers who participated in IPT-G. Mothers were divided into three groups: (1) not depressed at follow-up, (2) depressed at follow-up, and (3) those with subclinical symptoms throughout the intervention, and similarities and differences across groups were examined.

Recent efforts have focused on building capacity to address maternal depression in Head Start; however, it is unclear if mental health inequities can be addressed by two-generation programs in Head Start settings. Therefore, this study examined the implementation outcomes and processes of a two-generation program called "Healthy Moms, Healthy Kids" (HMHK) that provided an evidence-based depression treatment to ethnic minority Head Start mothers.

We perform the case-control study to analyse the association between the APOE polymorphism and risk of T2DM and to analysed the potential relationship between the APOE and T2DM complications.
Methods And Results: APOE variants (rs429358 and rs7412) were genotyped by TaqMan assay in T2DM patients (N = 1274; N = 829 with complications including retinopathy, neuropathy and nephropathy status) and with PCR-RFLP in healthy nondiabetic controls (N = 2055).
Background: Maternal depression is known to be a serious problem with higher rates among poor and racial/ethnic minority mothers that can have numerous negative impacts on their children. These mothers have less access to effective care and may be wary of traditional mental health care because of the stigma. The purpose of this study was to test whether an adaptation of an Interpersonal Psychotherapy group for perinatal depression could be effective in reducing depressive symptoms of mothers whose children were enrolled in Head Start.

We followed up 43 pancreas and kidney recipients for a composite endpoint comprising new need for laser therapy, newly diagnosed proliferation, macular edema, visual acuity worsening, and blindness over 12 months. Although 37% of patients met this primary endpoint, its severity was rather low.

This reduces the efficiency of their use and that is why new ways how to increase their solubility are investigated. One way to improve the solubility of the drug is to reduce its particle size.

This study addressed whether CTI coaches modified the intervention for older adults who screened positive for depression.

Risk factors for diabetic retinopathy can be divided into modifiable and non modifiable. Non modifiable include the type of diabetes, age of the patient at the time of onset, duration, and genetic factors. Primarily it can be influenced by glycemic control, as well as systemic factors such as blood pressure, serum lipids.

The current paper describes three models of research-practice collaboration to scale-up evidence-based practices (EBP): (1) the Rolling Cohort model in England, (2) the Cascading Dissemination model in San Diego County, and (3) the Community Development Team model in 53 California and Ohio counties. Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC) and KEEP are the focal evidence-based practices that are designed to improve outcomes for children and families in the child welfare, juvenile justice, and mental health systems. The three scale-up models each originated from collaboration between community partners and researchers with the shared goal of wide-spread implementation and sustainability of MTFC/KEEP.

There is a growing consensus that implementation of evidence-based intervention and treatment models holds promise to improve the quality of services in child public service systems such as mental health, juvenile justice, and child welfare. Recent policy initiatives to integrate such research-based services into public service systems have created pressure to expand knowledge about implementation methods. Experimental strategies are needed to test multi-level models of implementation in real world contexts.

Among many causes the sorbitol overload, the excessive storage of advanced glycosylation endproducts, oxidative stress and/or the cell apoptosis after the paradoxical glucose starvation can be emphasised.

The objective of the present work is to evaluate the results of a long-term study concerned with the relationship of compensation, vascular and neurological complications of labile insulin-dependent diabetics. The authors investigated indicators of compensation, and in collaboration with an ophthalmologist, and neurologist also signals of possible damage of the eye, central and peripheral nerves, kidneys.

Unlabelled: The treatment of diabetic retinopathy (DR) is one of the most challenging problems in ophthalmology. The possibility of modulating DR by successful combined kidney and pancreas transplantation thus holds an attractive promise for the ophthalmologist. From June 1983 until April 1997, a total of 86 combined kidney and pancreas transplantation procedures were performed at the Prague-based Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine.

So far it is, however, indicated mainly in patients with already advanced microangiopathy where at the same time also renal transplantation is planned and long-term experience is so far limited. The objective of the submitted paper is to report on the development of metabolic compensation and its impact on the development of microangiopathic changes in type 1 diabetics where the complete function of both grafts persisted more han five years.
