Unlabelled: Dietary patterns present at the age of the young adult have great probability to remain unchanged for the rest of the life and may contribute to eating disorders later in life. The aim of this study is the analysis of the intake patterns for fruits and vegetables in students from Timis County.

In the study we wanted to reveal the distribution of the food borne diseases in Timisoara county, in the period of time 2002-2003. As material we used a sample formed from 142 patients with admissions in the "Victor Babeş" Infectious Diseases Hospital Timişoara, Romania, and the method, epidemiological longitudinal descriptive inquiry, consisted in data registration of the primary evidences (observation files) of the patients. The obtained results revealed: the greater incidence of the food borne diseases in male than female sex; the highest incidence at the age group 15-44 years; the main causal agent as Salmonella group D followed by group B; the greatest frequencies of the food borne diseases in the areas Lipova, Circumvalatiunii and Students Complex of Timişoara.

In our study we wanted to realize a qualitative and quantitative estimation of the nutritive factors in Timişoara medical students food intake. In the effected study we wanted to reveal the richest foods in additives and the most frequent used additives. As material we used a sample formed from 100 food products investigated in a supermarket, and the method consisted in data registration of food additives written on the labels of the original packages with statistical analysis. We could not establish the food additive concentrations in foods because we have no adequate technology.
