Background: Guardians' involvement in the management of childhood illnesses plays a pivotal role in reducing mortality and morbidity among children under 5 years old. It is through the guardian's eyes that the child can be afforded timely healthcare, prevented from contracting an illness and effectively taken prescribed medication.

Aim: The study aimed to explore the guardians' lived experiences in their involvement in managing childhood illnesses in Vhembe district, Limpopo province, South Africa.

Barriers to accessing and utilising under-five primary health care services in Vhembe District.

Background:  Sub-Saharan Africa continues to be the region with the highest under-five mortality rate globally, with 74 deaths per 1000 live births. Even though under-five child primary health care (PHC) services are free in South Africa, accessing such services remains challenging. Children under 5 years reportedly die from common illnesses such as pneumonia, diarrhoea and malaria, which are treatable in PHC facilities.

Background: Routine family planning data in South Africa are managed using a routine health information system, which facilitates data collection, storage, processing, presentation and dissemination. Healthcare providers generate data daily as they carry out their duties. The information generated should be used for planning and evaluating health program performance and policy development.

Organizational related challenges in antenatal care service delivery in semi-urban healthcare facilities in Gauteng, South Africa.

Antenatal care is vital in improving pregnancy outcomes. It is a vehicle for assisting in the reduction of maternal mortality. For this to be realized, there is a need for antenatal care that is effective, acceptable, and accessible to the users.

Background: Infection prevention and control (IPC) programmes were introduced to combat healthcare-associated infections and antimicrobial resistance and to facilitate the implementation of IPC measures. The implementation of policies and guidelines results in effective service delivery.
