Objectives: Coexistence of mental and physical health conditions is prevalent. To achieve optimal physical therapy outcomes, neither should be treated in isolation. This review aimed to map intersections between physical therapy and mental health.

The Effectiveness of Aquatic Plyometric Training in Improving Strength, Jumping, and Sprinting: A Systematic Review.

Context: Aquatic plyometric training may provide benefits due to reduced joint loading compared with land plyometric training; however, the reduced loading may also limit performance gains.

Objective: To systematically review the effect of aquatic plyometric training on strength, performance outcomes, soreness, and adverse events in healthy individuals.

Evidence Acquisition: Five databases were searched from inception to June 2020.

Advanced musculoskeletal physiotherapy: Barriers and enablers to multi-site implementation.

Objectives: Advanced musculoskeletal physiotherapy (AMP) services are a safe, effective model of care, but without broad-scale healthcare implementation to date. The aim of the present study was to identify the barriers and enablers to implementation of 12 AMP services from the perspective of clinical staff.

Methods: In a qualitative study, 12 participants (physiotherapists), from 12 different healthcare networks (seven metropolitan, three regional, two rural), were included.

Aquatic physical therapy for hip and knee osteoarthritis: results of a single-blind randomized controlled trial.

Background And Purpose: Aquatic physical therapy is frequently used in the management of patients with hip and knee osteoarthritis (OA), yet there is little research establishing its efficacy for this population. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of aquatic physical therapy on hip or knee OA.

Subjects: A total of 71 volunteers with symptomatic hip OA or knee OA participated in this study.
