Background: Burnout is among the greatest challenges facing healthcare today. Healthcare providers have been found to experience burnout at significant rates, with COVID-19 exacerbating the challenge. Burnout in the healthcare setting has been associated with decreases in job satisfaction, productivity, professionalism, quality of care, and patient satisfaction, as well as increases in career choice regret, intent to leave, and patient safety incidents.

Harnessing Natural Language Processing to Assess Quality of End-of-Life Care for Children With Cancer.

Purpose: Data on end-of-life care (EOLC) quality, assessed through evidence-based quality measures (QMs), are difficult to obtain. Natural language processing (NLP) enables efficient quality measurement and is not yet used for children with serious illness. We sought to validate a pediatric-specific EOLC-QM keyword library and evaluate EOLC-QM attainment among childhood cancer decedents.

Parent Priorities in End-of-Life Care for Children With Cancer.

Importance: Robust quality measures to benchmark end-of-life care for children with cancer do not currently exist; 28 candidate patient-centered quality measures were previously developed.

Objective: To prioritize quality measures among parents who lost a child to cancer.

Design, Setting, And Participants: This survey study was conducted using an electronic, cross-sectional discrete choice experiment (DCE) with maximum difference scaling from January to June 2021 in the US.

Family Health Development in Life Course Research: A Scoping Review of Family Functioning Measures.

Background And Objectives: Our objective is to identify common family functioning measurement tools and assess their compatibility with family-health development and life-course perspectives.

Methods: Data sources include PubMed, ERIC, CINAHL, Families and Societies Worldwide, PsychInfo, Web of Science, PsychNet, and Health and Psychosocial Instruments. Title and abstract screening and full-text review of articles were conducted by multiple reviewers based on prespecified inclusion criteria.

Effectiveness of mobile produce markets in increasing access and affordability of fruits and vegetables among low-income seniors.

Objective: Mobile produce markets (MPM) offering Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) incentive programmes have the potential to provide accessible and affordable fruits and vegetables (FV) to populations at risk of food insecurity. The objective of this study is to characterise the customer base of an MPM and describe their participation at twelve market sites serving low-income seniors.

Design: In 2018, customers from an MPM in Rhode Island (RI) participated in a cross-sectional survey (n 330; 68 % response rate), which measured dietary patterns, food security and food shopping behaviours.

Modulation of mouse embryonic stem cell proliferation and neural differentiation by the P2X7 receptor.

Background: Novel developmental functions have been attributed to the P2X7 receptor (P2X7R) including proliferation stimulation and neural differentiation. Mouse embryonic stem cells (ESC), induced with retinoic acid to neural differentiation, closely assemble processes occurring during neuroectodermal development of the early embryo.

Principal Findings: P2X7R expression together with the pluripotency marker Oct-4 was highest in undifferentiated ESC.
