Osteonecrosis of the Jaws: An Update and Review of Literature.

Aim: To provide a concise review on risk factors, stages, pathophysiology, prevention and possible treatment options for both MRONJ and ORN individually.

Methods: The review was conducted according to the 'Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses' (PRISMA) guidelines. A comprehensive search of the PUBMED, Ebsco, SCOPUS, WEB OF SCIENCE and NDH for articles published up until 2021 was performed.
