Methods: Patients enrolled within three months of diagnosis in the Research in Arthritis in Canadian Children Emphasizing Outcomes (ReACCh-Out) and the Canadian Alliance of Pediatric Rheumatology Investigators Registry (CAPRI) cohorts were included. Cumulative incidences of drug starts and outcome attainment within 70 weeks of diagnosis were compared with Kaplan-Meier survival analysis and multivariable Cox regression.

Objective: To develop a list of tests or treatments frequently used in pediatric rheumatology practice that may be unnecessary based on existing evidence.
Methods: A Choosing Wisely (CW) working group composed of 16 pediatric rheumatologists, 1 allied health professional, 1 parent, and 1 patient used the Delphi method to generate, rank, and refine a list of tests and treatments that may be unnecessary or harmful. The items with the highest content agreement and perceived impact were presented in a survey to all Canadian Rheumatology Association (CRA) physicians who practice pediatric rheumatology.
Hepatic angiosarcomas are aggressive malignant tumors of the liver with variable morphology. One of the rare morphologies is that of the sinusoidal growth pattern, which is challenging to diagnose because of its subtle imaging and morphologic findings. This retrospective study characterizes the clinical, histologic, and immunohistochemical features of sinusoidal hepatic angiosarcomas.

We profiled 30 surgically resected tumours and the matched adjacent normal tissues to understand the aberrant epigenetic events associated with HCC.
Methods: We identified tumour differential enhancers and the associated genes by analysing H3K27 acetylation (H3K27ac) chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing (ChIP-seq) and Hi-C/HiChIP data from the resected tumour samples of 30 patients with early-stage HCC.

A multiphase CFD-DEM model was built to simulate the waste-to-energy gasifying and direct melting furnace in a pilot demonstration facility. The characterizations of feedstocks, waste pyrolysis kinetics, and charcoal combustion kinetics were first obtained in the laboratory and used as model inputs. The density and heat capacity of waste and charcoal particles were then modelled dynamically under different status, composition, and temperature.

This is especially so for highly heterogeneous cancer like Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC).
Methods: Using multi-region sampled RNA-seq data of 90 patients, we performed patient-specific differential expression testing, together with the patients' matched adjacent normal samples.
IL-17-producing CD8 (Tc17) T cells have been shown to play an important role in infection and chronic inflammation, however their implications in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remain elusive. In this study, we performed cytometry by time-of-flight (CyTOF) and revealed the distinctive immunological phenotypes of two IFNγ and IFNγ Tc17 subsets that were preferentially enriched in human HCC. Single-cell RNA-sequencing analysis further revealed regulatory circuits governing the different phenotypes of these Tc17 subsets.
