Children whose parents have mental disorders are more likely to be vulnerable and exposed to an environment where they may not be cared for by parents or guardians in Korea. Particularly, young children often develop mental disorders or maladaptive behaviors. This study aimed to implement a structured program to enhance the resilience of school-aged children whose parents have mental disorders and to analyze its effectiveness through a single-group pretest-posttest experimental design.

The caring attitude of nurses affects patient compliance with medication instructions as well as the promotion of health behaviors and patient satisfaction.
Purpose: This study was designed to develop a Korean version of the Watson Caritas Patient Score (WCPS) developed by Watson and then verify its reliability and validity.
Background: The need for student-centered teaching methods is increasing. Therefore, this study aimed to verify the effectiveness of the flipped learning method when applied to a mental health nursing practicum using a retrospective research design.
Method: The effectiveness of these teaching methods was assessed by collecting and comparing data on the core competencies and academic progress of two groups of 70 undergraduate nursing students in South Korea.

Purpose: To investigate the impact of length of autogenic training (AT) use, alone and with the addition of adjunct treatments, on intensity and duration of primary headache in adults age 19 and older.
Methods: We searched articles published in English and Korean from 1926 to 2016. A search of seven domestic and foreign databases was conducted from September 25, 2016 to December 30, 2016 using the search terms "autogenic training," "autogen," "relaxation," and "headache.
The authors in this article explore the experiences of eight South Korean nurses during an outbreak of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), which took place in the fall of 2015. These nurses were mandated to remain in isolation in an intensive care unit (ICU) dedicated to the treatment of the patients with the MERS virus for 7 days. Parse's humanbecoming theory was used to frame the discussion.

Two of the stories are about men who early in their lives were diagnosed with Leprosy (Hansen's disease) and forced to live most of their lives in a prison- like treatment facility. The third story is of a woman with advanced cancer who ended up in a similar place because she lost both of her children and husband.

Method: Data were collected from 22 participants and 22 nonparticipants. The program consisted of daily practices of self-control and reflection, and weekly feedback sessions.

Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a behavioral checklist to predict an autistic disorder and to identify the earliest detecting time.
Method: One hundred and fifty eight children including normal, autistic, institutionalized normal, and retarded were assessed using critical interaction behavioral markers from literature review. Data was collected by semi-structured mother-child interaction by videotape recording and analyzed by factor analysis, Cronbach alpha, Kappa, chi(2), and Duncan.

Problem: Although the need for mental health services for children and youth is on the rise in Korea, there are no data available regarding the current status of psychiatric nurses working with children and adolescents.
Methods: Descriptive statistics were used to analyze questionnaires from 324 respondents.
Findings: Only 5% of psychiatric nurses in Korea are working at child and adolescent-specific programs.
