Glabellar filler injections are a popular non-surgical approach to address depressions and wrinkles caused by aging, muscle activity, and soft tissue loss. An anatomy-based technique emphasizes understanding the complex structure of the glabellar region, including the corrugator supercilii and procerus muscles, and the superficial vascular pathways, such as the supratrochlear and supraorbital arteries. Effective treatment involves precise filler placement, often combined with botulinum toxin to address both volume loss and dynamic wrinkles.

Common management involves botulinum toxin (BoNT) injections into wrinkles immediately below the nasal bridge. Here, we investigated the anatomical structures underneath bunny lines and their relationships with adjacent muscular structures.

The research aimed to assess the efficacy of non-invasive treatment in enhancing facial muscle movement during smiling to achieve a natural smile. The patient received eight sessions of treatment using non-invasive devices, and facial assessment were conducted using three-dimensional scanner (Morpheus 3D Scanner) to evaluate facial features in both relaxed and maximum smile states pre- and post-treatment.

This study aimed to determine the depth from the skin surface to the parotid fascia, which encompasses the parotid gland. The anatomical properties of the parotid glands were evaluated in 40 patients using ultrasonography.

Aims: This study aims to highlight the critical anatomical considerations in thread lifting, including the navigation of facial vascular structures, the protection of facial nerves, manipulation of fat compartments, and engagement of retaining ligaments.
The upper head of the lateral pterygoid muscle (LPM) is known to insert into the capsule of the temporomandibular joint and articular disc, and therefore its relationship with temporomandibular disorders (TMD) has been consistently suggested. The aim of the study was to determine the anatomical features of the LPM using ultrasonographic (US) imaging. Around 120 hemifaces from 60 healthy Korean volunteers were included in this study.

Understanding the anatomy of muscles such as the trapezius, platysma, and submandibular gland is crucial for achieving desirable outcomes with botulinum toxin administration. Techniques for injecting botulinum toxin into these muscles are discussed, emphasizing safety and efficacy.

Managing rosacea remains a persistent challenge for dermatologists, especially in cases unresponsive to conventional treatments. Injectable poly-d,l-lactic acid (PDLLA) has shown promise in treating erythema and telangiectasia associated with rosacea in addition to age-related concerns.

Through a comprehensive biological evaluation, we identified 4-(6-(methylamino)-2-(phenylethynyl)-9H-purin-9-yl)phenol (6a) as a promising AAR antagonist with potent antifibrotic properties. Compound 6a demonstrated significant efficacy in inhibiting CRE promoter activity and in reducing the expression of fibrogenic marker proteins and downstream effectors of AAR activation, surpassing the AAR antagonist ZM241385 and initial screening hits, 9-benzyl-N-methyl-2-(phenylethynyl)-9H-purin-6-amine (5a) and 9-((benzyloxy)methyl)-N-methyl-2-(phenylethynyl)-9H-purin-6-amine (5j).

Methods: Three female patients aged 43, 48, and 53, presenting with primary concerns regarding nasolabial folds, underwent distinct treatment regimens utilizing various types of threads and vectors. Additionally, video demonstrations were recorded to showcase the procedural techniques employed in each case.
Purpose: The anterior belly of the digastric muscle (ABDM) is the target of botulinum toxin injection; however, anatomical considerations related to the injection point are absent. This study used Sihler's staining to analyze the intramuscular nerve distribution of ABDM to identify the most effective botulinum toxin injection points.
Methods: We used 12 specimens from 6 embalmed cadavers in this study.
Introduction: Ultrasonography (US) has become an essential tool for guiding botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) injections in facial muscles, enhancing precision and safety. This narrative review explores the role of US in BoNT administration, particularly in complex anatomical regions, highlighting its impact on treatment customization, real-time visualization, and complication reduction.
