Platinum-free Interval May Predict Duration of Maintenance Bevacizumab and Survival in Platinum-sensitive Recurrent Ovarian Cancer.

Background/aim: We investigated factors affecting the long-term duration of bevacizumab-based maintenance therapy (BMT) and survival in patients with the first platinum-sensitive recurrence of ovarian cancer (PSR).

Patients And Methods: We included patients with the first PSR in two tertiary centers from January 2015 till August 2021. All patients received six cycles of paclitaxel, carboplatin, and bevacizumab followed by BMT.

Risk factors for recurrence of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia after loop electrosurgical excisional procedure in patients with positive margins.

Aim: Loop electrosurgical excisional procedure (LEEP) is a major treatment method for cervical precancerous lesions. However, recurrence rates were estimated to be 15%, and the risk is increased if a surgical margin is involved by dysplastic cells. This study aimed to identify the risk factors for recurrence of cervical precancerous lesions in patients with positive margins.

The Association Between Long Working Hours and Infertility.

Background: This study aimed to investigate whether working long hours was related to infertility among female Korean workers, while taking age into consideration.

Methods: We used data from the 2018 National Survey on Fertility and Family Health and Welfare in Korea that is a cross-sectional, nationally representative, and population-based survey. Infertility was defined as women who were not pregnant after regular unprotected intercourse for a year.

Evaluation of a Novel Prototype for Pressurized Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy.

Pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemotherapy (PIPAC) has been suggested as an alternative option for treating peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC). Even with its clinical advantages, the current PIPAC system still suffers from limitations regarding drug distribution area and penetration depth. Thus, we evaluated the new PIPAC system using a novel prototype, and compared its performance to the results from previous studies related with the current MIP indirectly because the system is currently not available for purchase in the market.

Prevalence of radiologic acetabular dysplasia in asymptomatic Asian volunteers.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of acetabular dysplasia in an asymptomatic Asian population as one of the most important risk factors of hip osteoarthritis. From December 2014 to March 2015, we investigated the data of 200 asymptomatic volunteers (400 hips) aged 18-50 years recruited from our institution. Pelvic radiographs were taken and reviewed by two experienced orthopaedic surgeons.

ClpS1 is a conserved substrate selector for the chloroplast Clp protease system in Arabidopsis.

Whereas the plastid caseinolytic peptidase (Clp) P protease system is essential for plant development, substrates and substrate selection mechanisms are unknown. Bacterial ClpS is involved in N-degron substrate selection and delivery to the ClpAP protease. Through phylogenetic analysis, we show that all angiosperms contain ClpS1 and some species also contain ClpS1-like protein(s).

Modified Clp protease complex in the ClpP3 null mutant and consequences for chloroplast development and function in Arabidopsis.

The plastid ClpPRT protease consists of two heptameric rings of ClpP1/ClpR1/ClpR2/ClpR3/ClpR4 (the R-ring) and ClpP3/ClpP4/ClpP5/ClpP6 (the P-ring) and peripherally associated ClpT1/ClpT2 subunits. Here, we address the contributions of ClpP3 and ClpP4 to ClpPRT core organization and function in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana). ClpP4 is strictly required for embryogenesis, similar to ClpP5.
