Introduction: Older adults experience fatigue which impacts health-related quality of life. The Pittsburgh Fatigability Scale (PFS) was specifically designed to assess perceived physical and mental fatigability in older adults. The aim of this study was to translate the PFS into Italian (PFS-I) and to investigate its psychometric properties.

[Ambulatory shift in general internal medicine: a need for evidence beyond economical aspects].

General internal medicine is particularly concerned by the shift from stationary to ambulatory care, a shift that unfortunately is more often discussed from an economic perspective than from the angle of evidence. Globally, populations are more and more physically active in western countries, also participating in competitions, even if not professionally. The main goals of the sports preparticipation screening is to detect conditions that may predispose to injuries, may cause sudden death, or trigger worsening in preexisting conditions. In Switzerland, primary care physicians are regularly confronted to it.
