Article Synopsis
  • Soilless cultivation for potatoes uses coconut peat and vermiculite as substrates, impacting the microecological environment essential for growth and breeding due to their unique microbial communities and physical properties.! -
  • The study analyzed various samples, including pure and mixed substrates, and utilized advanced sequencing techniques to explore the microbial community's relationship with environmental factors, revealing that vermiculite generally has lower diversity and more pathogens compared to coconut peat, which supports a richer microbiome.! -
  • Key environmental factors like nitrogen and organic carbon significantly affect microbial succession, indicating that nutrient management is crucial for maintaining microbial health and stability in the growing substrates, especially when using vermiculite for potato cultivation.!

Turcz, a perennial herb of the Asteraceae family, is one of the horticultural and medicinal plants used for curing various diseases and is widely distributed in China and other Asian countries. It possesses antibacterial, antimetastatic, antiangiogenic, and antioxidant properties along with anticancer potential. However, the intrageneric classification and phylogenetic relationships within have long been controversial due to the lack of high-resolution molecular markers, and the complete chloroplast (cp) genome sequencing has not been reported with new evolutionary insights.
