Creating a heterostructure by combining two magnetically and structurally distinct ruthenium oxides is a crucial approach for investigating their emergent magnetic states and interactions. Previously, research has predominantly concentrated on the intrinsic properties of the ferromagnet SrRuO and recently discovered altermagnet RuO solely. Here, the study engineers an ultrasharp sublattice-matched heterointerface using pseudo-cubic SrRuO and rutile RuO, conducting an in-depth analysis of their spin interactions.

We reversibly control ferromagnetic-antiferromagnetic ordering in an insulating ground state by annealing tensile-strained LaCoO films in hydrogen. This ionic-magnetic coupling occurs due to the hydrogen-driven topotactic transition between perovskite LaCoO and brownmillerite LaCoO at a lower temperature (125-200 °C) and within a shorter time (3-10 min) than the oxygen-driven effect (500 °C, tens of hours). The X-ray and optical spectroscopic analyses reveal that the transition results from hydrogen-driven filling of correlated electrons in the Co 3d-orbitals, which successively releases oxygen by destabilizing the CoO octahedra into CoO tetrahedra.

The light spectrum is a key environmental cue involved in growth and reproduction in teleosts. This study investigated the effects of exposure on juvenile red spotted grouper exposed to white (control), red (590 nm), blue (480 nm), and green (520 nm) light-emitting diodes (LEDs) (12 h light:12 h dark) for two months. The body weight (BW), total length (TL), condition factor (CF), weight gain rate (WGR), gonadosomatic index (GSI), and hepatosomatic index (HSI) were assessed.

Applications of correlated vanadium dioxides VO(A) and VO(B) in electrical devices are limited due to the lack of effective methods for tuning their fundamental properties. We find that the resistivity of VO(A) and VO(B) is widely tunable by doping them with tungsten ions. When x < 0.

This study examined the effects of different photoperiod conditions on olive flounder (), a commercially important species in Korea. Daily variations in the expression of mRNA for the growth-related genes ary-lalkylamine N-acetyltransferase2 (AANAT2), preprosomatostatin1 (PSS1), and growth hormone (GH) were examined under a 12 h light:12 h dark photoperiod. All the genes were expressed at higher level during the dark period.

In order to examine the effects of four different light spectra (white, red, green, and blue) on the oocyte maturation, the change of reproductive parameters, via brain-pituitary-gonad (BPG) axis in grass puffer, were investigated. After exposure four different light spectra for 7 weeks, the abundance of gonadotropin-releasing hormone () mRNA which is a type of seabream () and two different subunit of gonadotropin hormones mRNAs, follicle-stimulating hormone () mRNA and luteinizing hormone () mRNA, were analyzed in the brain and pituitary. Histological analysis showed that the mature oocyte ratio in the green spectrum was higher than other light spectra-exposed groups.

Weight gain and other metabolic disturbances have now become discouraging, major side effects of atypical antipsychotic drugs (AAPDs). The novel strategies required to counteract these serious consequences, however, should avoid modulating the activities of the neurotransmitter receptors involved because those receptors are the therapeutic targets of AAPDs. Adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase is an enzyme that plays a pivotal role in energy homeostasis.
