Mitochondrial quality control is paramount for cellular development, with mitochondrial electron flow (Mito-EF) playing a central role in maintaining mitochondrial homeostasis. However, unlike visible protein entities, which can be monitored through chemical biotechnology, regulating mitochondrial quality control by invisible entities such as Mito-EF has remained elusive. Here, a Mito-EF tracker (Mito-EFT) with a four-pronged probe design is presented to elucidate the dynamic mechanisms of Mito-EF's involvement in mitochondrial quality control.

To enable open environment application of artificial photosynthesis, the direct utilization of environmental CO via an oxygen-tolerant reductive procedure is necessary. Herein, we introduce an in situ growth strategy for fabricating two-dimensional heterojunctions between indium porphyrin metal-organic framework (In-MOF) and single-layer graphene oxide (GO). Upon illumination, the In-MOF/GO heterostructure facilitates a tandem CO capture and photocatalytic reduction on its hydroxylated In-node, prioritizing the reduction of dilute CO even in the presence of air-level O.

Cerebral ischemia and subsequent reperfusion damage are prevalent in clinical practice, linked to numerous neurodegenerative diseases. Cerebral ischemia deprives brain tissue of essential oxygen and nutrients, disrupting energy metabolism and causing cellular dysfunction. Although reperfusion theoretically aids recovery, it instead initiates complex injury responses such as oxidative stress, apoptosis, and inflammation, worsening brain damage.

Vertical transistors, in which the source and drain are aligned vertically and the current flow is normal to the wafer surface, have attracted considerable attention recently. However, the realization of high-density vertical transistors is challenging, and could be largely attributed to the incompatibility between vertical structures and conventional lateral fabrication processes. Here we report a T-shape lamination approach for realizing high-density vertical sidewall transistors, where lateral transistors could be pre-fabricated on planar substrates first and then laminated onto vertical substrates using T-shape stamps, hence overcoming the incompatibility between planar processes and vertical structures.
