Background: Anemia is a major global burden, and occupational gasoline exposure is a common occupational hazard factor. Although previous studies have shown that there is a potential relationship between occupational gasoline exposure and the increase of anemia prevalence, this relationship has not been fully explored. The current cohort study aimed to investigate the association between occupational exposure to gasoline and anemia, and the effect of gasoline concentration on hemoglobin (Hb) levels.

T cells play a pivotal role in the development of autoimmune diseases. To mitigate autoimmune inflammation without inducing global immunosuppression, it is crucial to selectively eliminate autoreactive T cell clones while preserving the normal T cell repertoire. In this study, we applied cellular proximity chemistry to develop a T-cell depletion method with clonal precision.

Lysozyme, a kind of wide-spread natural enzyme easily extracted from nature, has become attractive for agriculture and medicine use. However, Gram-negative bacterial strains are highly resistant to natural lysozymes, which limits their practical application.

Identifying effective targets or drugs for overcoming chemoresistance is urgently needed. Our previous study showed that WFDC3 served as a tumor suppressor that hindered CRC metastasis.

This study compared the clinical outcomes of ticagrelor and clopidogrel in STEMI patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Methods: We retrospectively enrolled 1124 patients diagnosed with STEMI in Nanjing First Hospital from July 2011 to April 2019.
Background: Phospholipid transfer protein (PLTP), a glycoprotein widely expressed in the body, is primarily involved in plasma lipoprotein metabolism. Previous research has demonstrated that PLTP can exert anti-inflammatory effects and improve individual survival in patients with sepsis and endotoxemia by neutralizing LPS and facilitating LPS clearance. However, the role of PLTP in sepsis-associated acute kidney injury (SA-AKI) and the specific mechanism of its protective effects are unclear.

Introduction And Importance: Retiform hemangioendothelioma(RH) is a rare vascular tumor affecting patients over a wide age range without a gender predilection; only about 50 cases have been described so far.
Case Presentation: We report a case of submandibular retiform hemangioendothelioma in a 58-year-old woman who had been diagnosed with RH 20 years ago and had experienced recurrence four times during the past 20 years. This will increase the limited number of such cases in the hope of gaining a better understanding of this rare type of tumor.
Introduction: To examine the longitudinal association between estimated pulse wave velocity (ePWV) and cognitive phenotypes in a rural Chinese older population.
Methods: This population-based study included 1857 dementia-free participants (age ≥60 years) who were examined in 2014 and followed in 2018. ePWV was calculated using age and mean blood pressure (MBP).
A high-strength Al-Mg-Si alloy was prepared using mechanical alloying (MA) combined with press-forming (PF) technology, achieving a strength of up to 715 MPa and a hardness of 173 HB. The microstructures were comparatively analyzed with conventional cast Al-Mg-Si alloys using XRD, TKD, and TEM. The XRD results showed that the full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the alloy prepared by MA+PF was significantly broadened and accompanied by a shift in the diffraction peak.

Objective: To examine the associations of CR with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and cognitive function while considering Alzheimer's disease (AD)-related plasma biomarkers.
Methods: This population-based cross-sectional study included 4706 dementia-free individuals from MIND-China.
High-throughput experimentation (HTE) has accelerated academic and industrial chemical research in reaction development and drug discovery and has been broadly applied in many domains of organic chemistry. However, application of HTE in electrosynthesis-an enabling tool for chemical synthesis-has been limited by a dearth of suitable standardized reactors. Here we report the development of microelectronic devices, which are produced using standard nanofabrication techniques, to enable wireless electrosynthesis on the microlitre scale.

Objectives: We explore the characteristics and economic impacts of pediatric prospective prescription review and identify factors influencing intervention success rates.
This study investigated muscle activation, shocks, and vibrations of the upper extremities during tennis serves between junior and adult tennis players. Thirty-five well-trained tennis players (15 juniors and 20 adults) performed 10 maximal successful tennis serves. Two triaxial accelerometers recorded the shock and vibration on the racket and the hand on the dominant side.

To date, the relevant literature is primarily based on pan-tumour species, with only a few studies exploring SM specifically in relation to breast cancer. As such, the present retrospective study explored the clinicopathological characteristics and prognoses of patients with SMBC at the breast care centre of the authors' hospital.

In this paper, Shangri-La was adopted as an example, the spatial and temporal evolution patterns of the ecological quality in Shangri-La were determined in both natural and social dimensions, and the contributions of various driving factors were analyzed. The conclusions are as follows: (1) the natural status index of Shangri-La from 2000 to 2020 generally showed a spatial distribution pattern that decreased from the central townships toward the north and south, and the social pressure index was irregularly distributed in high-value areas and continuously distributed in low-value areas.

Method: In this study, 96 patients with ALHF in the emergency department of the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University were selected. According to different nursing methods, they were divided into conventional group and optimization group.
The circadian clock is crucial in plant immunity and metabolism, yet the coordinating mechanisms remain elusive. In the present study, transcriptome analysis of -infected rice leaves and rhythmic analysis showed reduced amplitudes of circadian and phytochrome genes, impacting immune response, metabolic pathways, and calcium signaling. The amplitudes of pattern-triggered immunity (PTI)-related genes declined, while the rhythmicity of effector-triggered immunity (ETI)-related genes disappeared.

However, the void defects of the interface pose a serious challenge for high performance perovskite solar cells (PSCs). To address this, we report a polydentate ligand reinforced chelating strategy to strengthen the stability of the buried interface by managing interfacial defects and stress.

Senescent cells, known for secreting various growth factors, have demonstrated excellent effects on angiogenesis. In this study, we induced senescence in a subset of fibroblasts in the donor dermis by co-administering trametinib and palbociclib before harvesting the skin grafts for transplantation.

Background: The rapid pace of knowledge production has introduced a phenomenon termed "knowledge anxiety", a psychological state where researchers feel inadequate in keeping up with emerging information. This state can negatively affect productivity and mental well-being, yet there is no comprehensive tool to measure knowledge anxiety across different research domains.
Methods: We employed a mixed-methods approach to develop a multidimensional scale for assessing knowledge anxiety.
