Social pain is a common occurrence in interpersonal interactions, yet limited research has explored the neural mechanisms underlying both social pain and social pain empathy. Existing studies often focus on the neural processes of individuals experiencing pain, referred to as "subjects," or those empathizing with them, known as "observers." This study examines the neural mechanisms involved in the process of social pain empathy from the perspective of interpersonal brain synchronization (IBS).

Cryo-EM studies highlight the importance of asymmetrical Rco1-Eaf3 dimers in nucleosome binding, yet the interaction dynamics with nucleosomal substrates alongside elongating Pol II are poorly understood. Here we demonstrate the essential function of the Rco1 N-terminal intrinsically disordered region (IDR) in modulating Pol II association, in which K/R mutations within the Rco1 IDR impair interaction of Rpd3S with the C-terminal domain (CTD) of Rpb1, without affecting nucleosome recognition or complex integrity.

Empathic bias occurs when members of the in-group evoke more intense empathic responses compared to out-group members. In the process of interacting with peers, children develop peer status and spontaneously form peer groups.

Natural products, like tea, have been demonstrated potential in mitigating these damages. However, the lack of efficient and rapid screening methods for natural products hinders their widespread application.

Studies have found that depression and anxiety have a negative impact on the mental health domain of burnout in healthcare workers. However, little is known about the symptom-to-symptom interactions between these psychological outcomes.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA heptasaccharide was isolated from an active fraction of Trillium tschonoskii using HILIC and high-temperature PGC chromatography methods. UHPLC-Q/TOF-MS analysis gave this oligosaccharide a degree of polymerization (DP) of 7 and MS/MS showed that it has a six-carbon aldehyde glucan structure with the possible chain 1 → 4 connected. The structure was determined by series 1D and 2D NMR in two solvents DO and DMSO‑d.

Dai-Bai-Jie, the root of the plant Marsdenia tenacissima from the Asclepiadaceae family, is well-known for its therapeutic effects in clearing heat, detoxifying, reducing swelling, and relieving pain as one of the most commonly used Dai medicine. Due to numerous structurally similar C21 steroidal compounds in Dai-Bai-Jie, chemical composition profiling has been substantially challenged. In this study, an offline two-dimensional chromatographic method (LC × SFC separation system) was developed to address these issues.

Representing a serious inflammatory condition, ALI lacks a precise treatment approach. Despite the recognized benefit impacts of Fibroblast growth factor-10 (FGF10) on ALI, the underlying mechanisms remain unelucidated.

Here we report that the binding of Cct2 to Atg8 is governed by two distinct regulatory mechanisms: Atg1-mediated Cct2 phosphorylation and the interaction between Cct2 and Atg11. Atg1 phosphorylates Cct2 at Ser412 and Ser470, and disruption of these phosphorylation sites impairs solid aggrephagy by hindering Cct2-Atg8 binding.

The new compounds were screened to determine their anti-proliferative activity against human lung cancer cell line A549, human liver cancer cell line HepG2, and human breast cancer cell line MCF-7. Most of the compounds were found to show better anti-proliferative activity in vitro than lupeol.

The obstruction of large and small airways is the important component in the development of asthma. We investigated whether small airway inflammation (SAI) induced small airway dysfunction (SAD) in these atypical asthmatics.

In modern manufacturing, optimization algorithms have become a key tool for improving the efficiency and quality of machining technology. As computing technology advances and artificial intelligence evolves, these algorithms are assuming an increasingly vital role in the parameter optimization of machining processes. Currently, the development of the response surface method, genetic algorithm, Taguchi method, and particle swarm optimization algorithm is relatively mature, and their applications in process parameter optimization are quite extensive.

In this study, two endogenous flavors sulfurol and γ-nonalactone which can be used as potential adulteration markers were first discovered in sesame oil and accurately quantified. First, the two endogenous flavors were discovered using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), and their structures were confirmed by comparing the mass spectrograms with the NIST spectral library.

Conventional liberal fluid administration has been challenged due to its association with increased perioperative morbidity. This study aimed to assess the impact of intraoperative high-volume fluid therapy on pediatric patients who are undergoing living donor liver transplantation (LDLT).
