- A 40-year-old woman experienced severe coughing up blood and difficulty breathing after starting treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis two weeks prior.
- Medical imaging revealed a serious vascular issue called Rasmussen's aneurysm near her lung's bronchus that was nearly blocked.
- Following treatment to close off the aneurysm, her condition improved, and after completing a six-month course of tuberculosis medication, she was cured with no further bleeding and some lung scarring remaining.
