2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine (MPC) is known to have antibacterial and protein-repellent effects, whereas mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (MBN) are known to have remineralisation effects. We evaluated the antibacterial and remineralisation effects of mixing MPC and MBN at various ratios with orthodontic bonding agents. MPC and MBN were mixed in the following weight percentages in CharmFil-Flow (CF): CF, 3% MPC, 5% MPC, 3% MPC + 3% MBN, and 3% MPC + 5% MBN.

Human sparganosis is a zoonotic disease caused by infection and migration of the plerocercoid of Spirometra spp. Although sparganosis were reported from most parts of the body, the sparganum parasitizing inside cerebral artery is remarkably uncommon. We report a case of cerebral intravascular sparganosis in an elderly patient with acute ischemic stroke who was diagnosed by retrieving sparganum during mechanical thrombectomy.

It has been shown that aerobic exercise improves atopic dermatitis (AD), although the mechanism is not clear. Here, we propose a hypothesis that moderate-intensity aerobic exercise improves AD in a mouse model through modulating allergic inflammation. Eutectic solvents (ESs) have shown stabilizing effects on several molecules. This study investigated differences in vascular function, lipids, body composition, and physical fitness in elderly postmenopausal women active in combined resistance and aerobic exercise (CRAE) training for 1 year versus a sedentary cohort of similar-in-age counterparts. We investigated the thermoelectric properties of the layered ternary selenides ASbSe (A = K, Rb and Cs) and the lattice thermal conductivity of KSbSe on the basis of DFT calculations, to find that these selenides are a high-performance n-type thermoelectric material. The Seebeck coefficients and power factors calculated for the electron carriers of ASbSe (A = K, Rb and Cs) are greater than those of the well-known thermoelectric materials BiTe and PbTe. The lattice thermal conductivity of KSbSe is comparable to that of PbTe, well-known for its low lattice thermal conductivity.
