A simple paper-based chromatography coupling with nickel foam decorated Au nanodendrite (PP-AuND/NiF) was fabricated for simultaneous separation and surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) detection of Rhodamine-6G (R6G) from a mixture of analytes. The three-dimensional porous nickel foam (NiF) was employed as a sampling diffusion platform, and AuND with a high surface active area beneficial for SERS efficiency was electro-deposited directly onto the NiF frame. The structure of AuND/NiF was characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy.

A new species of the genus is described from Ngoc Linh Mountain, Kon Tum Province, in the Central Highlands of Vietnam based on integrative taxonomy, namely by combining molecular and morphological evidence. differs from all other congeners based on morphological data, allopatric distribution, and molecular divergence. In terms of genetic divergence, distinctly differs from the sister species (6.

The interzeolite conversion of faujasite (FAU-type) zeolites to chabazite (CHA-type) zeolite in the presence of N,N,N-trimethyladamantammonium and N,N,N-dimethylethylcyclohexylammonium cations was investigated over a large compositional range by carefully controlling the reaction mixture compositions. Highly crystalline CHA zeolites were also obtained by the transformation of several zeolite types including EMT, LTL, LEV, RTH, and MFI frameworks. The formation of CHA zeolite from FAU zeolite precursors was substantially faster than that from zeolite L with a similar composition.

Siloxanes are organo-silicon compounds containing Si-O-Si linkages and methyl branches. Depending on the structure, siloxanes can be divided into cyclic and linear compounds. Methyl siloxanes with small and medium molecular weights (molecular weights less than 500 g mol), are volatile under normal conditions, and hence are referred to as volatile methyl siloxanes (VMSs).

Article Synopsis
  • The study examines how a mixture of 12 pharmaceuticals adsorbs onto trimethylsilylated mesoporous SBA-15, focusing on factors like pH and the compounds' properties (hydrophobicity and acidity).
  • Good relationships between adsorption and pH-dependent coefficients suggest that hydrophobic interactions primarily drive the process, with neutral species of the compounds being the most significantly adsorbed.
  • Different models were used to evaluate adsorption kinetics, revealing that lower capacity pharmaceuticals fit a first-order model while higher capacity ones fit a pseudo-second-order model, with various diffusion processes serving as the rate-limiting steps.
