Dexamethasone and ketorolac compare with ketorolac alone in acute renal colic: A randomized clinical trial.

Background: Multidrug pain control can be beneficial in relieving pain and limiting narcotic use in renal colic. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of adding dexamethasone to ketorolac on pain control in acute renal colic.

Methods: One hundred twenty patients with renal colic were randomized into comparison and intervention groups to investigate the effect of 8 mg of dexamethasone with 30 mg ketorolac administered immediately after the patient's admission.

Combined effects of calcium hydroxide and photobiomodulation therapy on apexogenesis of immature permanent teeth in dogs.

Treatment of high-risk traumatic immature teeth due to incomplete root development is challenging. Apexogenesis is currently the ideal treatment option that allows normal root development. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the apexogenesis process of immature permanent teeth of dogs when co-administered with calcium hydroxide and photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT).

Quality of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Emergency Department Based on the AHA 2015 Guidelines; a Brief Report.

Introduction: Adhering to existing guidelines on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can increase the survival rate of the patients. The present study has been designed with the aim of determining the quality of CPR performed in the emergency department based on the latest protocol by the American heart association (AHA).

Methods: In this prospective cross-sectional study CPR process was audited in patients above 18 years old in need of CPR presenting to the emergency departments of 3 teaching hospitals based on the AHA 2015 guidelines.

Decomposition and decoloration of synthetic dyes using hot/liquid (subcritical) water.

We have studied the decomposition and decoloration of 4-(2-Hydroxynaphthylazo) benzenesulfonic acid sodium salt (AO7, acid dye) as a model for textile wastes by using a flow-type subcritical water system. The operating temperature was ranged from 180 to 374 degrees C at 10-25 MPa at a wide range of residence time. The pressure (up to 25 MPa) did not affect the decomposition reactions.
