Objective: This in-vitro study is planned to analyze the effect of different thicknesses of ceramic occlusal veneers and different surface treatments on fracture resistance.
Materials And Methods: A total of 48 sound mandibular molars are anatomically prepared from the occlusal surface with two different thicknesses (1.0 and 0.
Background: The purpose of the current study was to assess the impact of restoration thickness, surface conditioning and the interaction between them on the fracture resistance of CAD/CAM fabricated lithium disilicate occlusal veneers.
Methods: A total of 42 maxillary molars were prepared to receive CAD/CAM fabricated lithium disilicate occlusal veneer either with 0.5 mm (n = 21) or 1 mm (n = 21) thickness.

Incorporate corn starch with oils conducted a high impact on red pigment production by Fortification the medium with sesame oil raised the pigment production by 80% and the dry mass by 63% compared with free oil medium. Response surface methodology maximizes the production with 114.

Four injection moulding process parameters (injection velocity, holding pressure, melt temperature and mould temperature) were investigated using Polypropylene (PP) and Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS). Three key characteristics of the mouldings were evaluated with respect to process settings and the material employed: part mass, flow length and flash formation.

Cross-reactivity studies with the main deltamethrin photodegradation products showed high specificity of deltamethrin polyclonal antibody to the parent compound. No cross-reactivity was measured with deltamethrin photodegradtion products derived from the alcohol moiety (3-phenoxybenzaldhyde, phenoxybenzyl alcohol, cyanohydrin, and 3-phenoxybenzoic acid), and lesser amounts were observed with the acid moiety (deltamethric acid).

A means of accurately predicting the presence of stones in the bile duct in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy for gallbladder stones is lacking. With the use of a three-stage analysis, a predictive score was developed from seven common parameters. Initially the score was formulated by using data from a retrospective series of patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy; the system was then tested prospectively over a 1-year period in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy for gallbladder stones.

Adult predictive and prenatal testing programmes for Huntington's disease (HD) in Canada have been available since 1986. However, the demand for prenatal testing and the reasons why some people choose not to have the prenatal test for this late onset disorder have not been well documented. In addition, the knowledge and attitudes of adult predictive testing candidates and their partners about prenatal testing are not well known nor are the psychological effects of prenatal testing well understood.

The role of hypochondriacal, depressive, and hysterical personality traits in response to interferential therapy (IFT) was studied in 50 patients with chronic knee osteoarthrosis. Personality traits were assessed through the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory. Each patient received ten sessions of IFT during two weeks.

It is easily used by persons without computer knowledge or experience. The present version can accommodate families consisting of up to 100 people in seven generations.

Genetic counselling of two younger sisters of a 32-year-old man with a 28-year history of severe progressive muscular dystrophy stimulated efforts to determine his diagnosis and the mode of inheritance. The investigation was complicated by the patient's sudden death during the period of investigation. However, genetic and neurological evaluation, electromyography and nerve conduction studies, serum enzymes and reinterpretation of a muscle biopsy 23 years earlier made it unlikely that inheritance was X-linked, thereby substantially reducing his sisters' risk of bearing affected children.

Cytogenetic investigations stimulated by the family history of similarly affected individuals revealed a translocation, t(9;16)(q32;q24), identifiable in four generations of the proband's family. A review of our cases with those reported in the literature reveals clinical similarities.

The increased frequency of demonstrable fragile X chromosomes in mentally retarded females appears to be due to an increase in the active fragile X while the inactive marker X remains at a similar low frequency in all heterozygotes whether retarded or not. The frequencies of the active fragile X separated the normal and abnormal subjects into two distinct populations.
