Background: Necrotizing fasciitis (NF) of the upper extremities is a severe surgical pathology, and the incidence of this disease has been steadily increasing in recent decades. Surgical treatment is accompanied by the formation of extensive wounds, which can be treated with significant difficulties. In recent years, negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) has proven to be highly effective.

More and more new works appear describing the occurrence of deep, extensive hematomas in patients with COVID-19. However, this experience requires further discussion and understanding.
Case Description: From October 2020 to January 2021, 7 (2,1% among all hospitalized with COVID-19 in this period) patients with developed hematomas were observed at the COVID-19 hospital.
Purpose: To present the developed preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) for spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 (SCA1) and the outcomes of IVF with PGT.
Methods: PGT was performed for two unrelated couples from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) with the risk of SCA1 in one spouse. We have developed a system for PGT of a monogenic disease (PGT-M) for SCA1, which includes the analysis of a panel of 11 polymorphic STR markers linked to the ATXN1 gene and a pathogenic variant of the ATXN1 gene using nested PCR and fragment analysis.
The severity of septic arthritis of the hand and the prospects for restoration of joint function are determined by a complex of factors. Among them, the leading role belongs to local changes in tissue structures. This includes the destruction of articular cartilage and bone tissue with the development of osteomyelitis, the involvement of paraarticular soft tissues in the purulent process, and the destruction of the flexor/extensor tendons of the fingers.

An inflammation can cause dysfunction of the joint, and in the most severe cases, the need for amputation of the finger may arise. The results of their treatment today, especially from a functional point of view, cannot be considered satisfactory.

They rank second in the frequency of occurrence after lesions of the knee joint. Many points concerning the etiology, the timing of the development of cartilage destruction and the development of osteomyelitis, approaches to surgical treatment, the duration of antibiotic therapy, and the start of rehabilitation measures remain the subject of numerous discussions.

Skeletal symptoms overlapping with other syndromes make MGS difficult to diagnose clinically. We describe a 3-year-old boy with short stature, recurrent respiratory infections, short-rib dysplasia, tower head and facial dysmorphisms who was admitted to the Tomsk Genetic Clinic to verify a clinical diagnosis of Jeune syndrome.

Methods: According to the databases Web of Science, Google Scholar, PubMed, E-library down to 2001-2021 the search for works related to the problem of diagnosis, treatment of frostbite of the upper extremities was made. Actual possibilities of diagnostics, the questions of classification, treatment of frostbite, including the features of plastic surgery operations used to close hand defects after excision of necrotic tissues have been analyzed.
Objective: Evaluation of the effect of local therapy with Kapsikam on the dynamics of clinical symptoms and indices of the disability scale, as well as on reducing the doses of systemic non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) used in patients with acute back pain (LOCUS study).
Materials And Methods: An observational study included 120 patients with nonspecific pain in the lower back and a verified diagnosis of Lumbodynia M54.5; «Lumbodynia with sciatica» M54.
We describe the dynamics of lipoic acid (LA) alone, incorporated in liposomes and as a part of nanoemulsions. Mass spectrometry shows that LA in water forms aggregates of two or three molecules in the form of a negatively charged ion and a neutral molecule. Phosphatidylcholine (PC)-based nanoforms of LA as liposomes and nanoemulsions with a particle size equal to 145 nm are characterized by a high degree of incorporation of LA into the nanoparticles and long-term stability during storage at room temperature.

SPP ligands are usually transparent at λ > 350 nm, but after mixing with Zn ions, they produce a stable colored (ε = 32 000-38 000 M cm) complex with maximum absorption at 525 nm, which makes them a powerful tool for monitoring metal-ion concentration in solution. The complex revealed fluorescence and photochromic behavior under static irradiation with visible light with constant photoreaction quantum yield across its characteristic absorption band.

Mild encephalopathy with a reversible splenial lesion (MERS) is a clinico-radiological syndrome that has been associated with a variety of underlying etiologies including viral and bacterial infections, epilepsy and antiepileptic drug cessation, hypoglycemia and electrolyte imbalance. We report a case of a 24-year-old woman who had an isolated splenial lesion in the corpus callosum on neuroimaging associated with MERS.

Extracts containing hTSHR were isolated from surgical thyroid tissue of patients with clinical and diagnostic signs of diffuse toxic goiter. Monoclonal antibodies to hTSHR (mAbs) were shown to interact both with antigens in thyroid tissue extracts and with YpOmpF.

The diagnosis was based on the clinical and anamnestic data, endoscopy, histomorphological, immunological and genetic exams. Psychophysiological analysis showed that in celiac disease is characterized by the formation reactions with anxiety, anxiety-phobic, neurotic, affective, and hypochondriacal symptoms.

The article presents the currents concepts on the mechanisms of brain lesions and development of cognitive impairment in diabetes mellitus (DM) including DM type 2. Metabolic and vascular mechanisms, oxidative stress, hyperglycemia, glutamate excitotoxicity, insulin insufficiency and brain insulin resistance, general vascular and microcirculatory disturbances, death of cortical neurons, decrease in the newly synthesized acetylcholine, activation of lipid peroxidation are considered. A review of the main domestic and international drugs used in clinical practice for treatment of cognitive impairment in patients with DM is presented.

Activation of neutrophils in the presence of gold nanoparticles is accompanied by the formation of free radical peroxidation products recording the flash of chemiluminescence. The basis for the activation mechanism has its origins most likely in the influence of the gold particles on the surface membrane potential of neutrophils. Investigation of changes in the fluorescence intensity of the negatively charged ANS probe on the surface of model membranes by adding different concentrations of gold nanoparticles indicates the change in the membrane surface charge density that can cause cell activation.

Authors studied 360 patients with different stages of chronic cerebral ischemia (CBI), including 180 patients followed-up for 12 months after the first examination, who were stratified into two groups with regard to disease course - favorable (stable) and unfavorable (progressive or with acute episodes of cerebral blood circulation disturbance). Oxidative stress markers were evaluated by the level of lipid- (malonic dialdehyde) and protein - (carbon products of protein oxidation, the level of plasma SH-groups, the accumulation of the products of deep oxidation of proteins) oxidation. Along with indicators of oxidative stress, we evaluated the binding capacity of albumin using fluorescent probe K-35.

The genetic constructs which allow one to effectively obtain Noggin1 and Noggin2 from synthetic mRNA microinjected into Xenopus laevis early embryos, as well as in the prokaryotic expression system, were generated. The obtained proteins contain three Myc-tag epitopes on their N-terminus.

DNA fragmentation is revealed in 20 h after UV-irradiation of lymphocytes at doses mentioned above. It is shown that DNA damages (single strand breaks) appear immediately after UV-irradiation of lymphocytes at doses of 1510 and 3020 J/m2 (comets of C1 type) and reach their maximum 6 h after cell modification (comets of C2 and C3 types).
