Background: Several studies reported the comparability of digital stent enhancement techniques (including stent boost imaging) in detecting suboptimal results of coronary stenting with Intra Vascular Ultrasound and optical coherence tomography.
Aims: to assess results of stent deployment and determine the incidence of suboptimal results requiring changing final decision using stent boost imaging.
Methods: This cross-sectional study included 120 patients eligible for PCI were recruited during a period of one year (January 2021 to 2022) using DES.
To evaluate the validity of the resting strain/strain rate measurements in predicting myocardial viability taking delayed enhancement cardiac magnetic resonance imaging as the gold standard. A cohort of 60 patients at three months followed up after acute myocardial infarction were recruited for this study. Resting echocardiography with offline analysis of deformation indices and gadolinium contrast enhanced cardiac magnetic resonance imaging were applied for all patients.
