We report a case of large iris melanocytoma in a child diagnosed by fine needle aspiration biopsy. In this interventional case report, cytologic features typical of melanocytoma were obtained by fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB). FNAB can be used in difficult diagnostic cases if a good sample is obtained, this technique has an accuracy of more than 99% in tumors larger than 3 mm; however, false-negative and false-positive results may be obtained.

Design: Retrospective review of consecutive clinical case series.
Participants: One hundred ninety-four patients (223 keratoprosthesis procedures performed in 205 eyes) who received Boston type 1 keratoprosthesis at 11 ophthalmology centers in Armenia, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Philippines, Russia, and Saudi Arabia between May 1, 2006, and July 1, 2011 (international series), and at the Jules Stein Eye Institute between May 1, 2004, and July 1, 2011 (University of California, Los Angeles [UCLA] series).
We are reporting a 34-year-old Arabic white female patient who presented with a white mass covering her left cornea following multiple ocular surgeries and healed corneal ulcer. The lesion obscured further view of the iris, pupil and lens. The patient underwent penetrating keratoplasty and the histopathologic study of the left corneal button showed epithelial hyperplasia, absent Bowman's layer and subepithelial fibrovascular proliferation.

A 72-year-old women underwent continuous curvilinear capsulorrhexis, phacoemulsification, and implantation of posterior chamber intraocular lens with polymethylmethacrylate haptics. Four months postoperatively, the patient reported deterioration in visual acuity that was resulted due to complete occlusion of anterior capsular opening by fibrotic tissue.

Methods: A retrospective, non-randomized, sequential, comparative study was performed for every patient with a persistent corneal epithelial defect who underwent primary AMT at KKESH between January 1, 2003 and June 30, 2004.
Results: A total of 142 AMT procedures were performed for persistent corneal epithelial defects during the study period.
Purpose: To investigate surgical outcomes after deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALKP) in eyes with keratoconus.
Methods: Retrospective review of 127 eyes of 118 keratoconus patients who underwent DALKP at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia between January 1, 1998 and November 30, 2001. The mean age of all patients was 25.
Purpose: To examine the expression of the three interferon-gamma-inducible CXCR3-binding chemokines, CXCL10/IP-10 (interferon-gamma-inducible protein of 10 KDa), CXCL9/Mig (monokine induced by interferon-gamma), and CXCL11/I-TAC (interferon-inducible T-cell alpha chemoattractant) in the conjunctiva of patients with vernal keratoconjunctivitis (VKC). These chemokines exhibit potent T-lymphocyte chemoattractant activity.
Design: Immunohistochemical study.
