Background: Past exposure to schistosomiasis is frequent among migrants from endemic countries, and chronic untreated infection may lead to long-term morbidities.
Methods: We carried out a prospective population-based cross-sectional study among migrants from endemic Sub-Saharan countries living in Barcelona, Spain. Participants had not been previously diagnosed or treated for schistosomiasis.
Background: The aim of this study was to estimate the incidence, associated disease burden and healthcare utilization due to Staphylococcus aureus prosthetic joint infections (SA-PJI) after primary hip and knee arthroplasty in European centres.
Methods: This study was conducted in patients who underwent primary hip and knee arthroplasty in 19 European hospitals between 2014 and 2016. The global incidence of PJI and SA-PJI was calculated.

Our aim was to evaluate single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with advanced liver fibrosis in HIV-1/HCV co-infected patients.
Design/methods: In a cohort of 102 participants, we genotyped 16 SNPs in 10 genes previously associated with NAFLD and the innate immune response and correlated the genotypes with liver fibrosis and fat accumulation.
Objectives: To explore the association between drug exposure and SARS-CoV-2 prognosis among elderly people living in long-term care facilities (LTC) DESIGN: We carried out a cross-sectional study among old people living in LTC that had a proven SARS-CoV-2 infection, including socio-demographic data, comorbidities and drug intake at the moment of the diagnosis.
