End-of-life care and grief: study conducted with family members of COVID-19 victims.

This article aims to investigate the implications of grief among family members of COVID-19 victims; verify the prevalence of prolonged grief symptoms; and identify family members' expectations regarding end-of-life care for their loved ones affected by COVID-19. Descriptive, cross-sectional research, with a quantitative-qualitative approach. Data collection was performed using an online questionnaire, guided by the PG-13 instrument.

Nurses' performance in palliative care: spiritual care in the light of Theory of Human Caring.

Objectives: to analyze nurses' role in assisting patients in palliative care, with emphasis on the spiritual dimension, in the light of Theory of Human Caring.

Methods: this is an exploratory, qualitative study, carried out in a hospital in João Pessoa, Paraíba, between August and December 2019, with 10 nurses. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were used.

Scientific production about palliative care and communication in online journals: a scoping review.

Objectives: to characterize publications about palliative care and communication, with an emphasis on the approaches addressed, disseminated in online journals.

Methods: it is a scope review, in which the mnemonic strategy Problem, Concept and Context was used, based on database research. The sample consisted of 86 publications.

Scientific production in oncological palliative care with emphasis in communication.

Communication is a facilitating tool in palliative care, enabling the development of a therapeutic process based on universal humanistic values, with benefits for the team, cancer patient, and family. This theme is of great importance and highlights the significant contributions to clinical practice in the context of palliative care in oncology with an emphasis on communication.

Scientific production on workplace bullying and nursing: a bibliometric study.

Objective: To verify bibliometric indicators of the scientific production available in online journals that approach workplace bullying and nursing.

Method: A bibliometric study making use of Bradford's law, Zipf's law, and textual statistics was carried out with publications in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, made available in national and international databases, from 2000 to 2016.

Results: The sample was made up of 111 publications.

Palliative care and spirituality: an integrative literature review.

Objective: to analyze scientifi c articles published in international online journals about palliative care and spirituality.

Methods: an integrative literature review with data collected in September 2014 from the LILACS, SCIELO, MEDLINE/PubMed, and IBECS databases.

Results: thirty-nine publications were identifi ed and their textual analysis facilitated through four thematic approaches: the meaning of spirituality in the context of palliative care; palliative care and spiritual support; spirituality and relief of pain and other symptoms in patients under palliative care; and instruments to evaluate the spiritual dimension of the scope of palliative care.

[Scientific production on workplace bullying/harassment in dissertations and theses in the Brazilian scenario].

OBJECTIVE To analyze scientific production about workplace bullying and harassment in dissertations and theses in Brazil, with emphasis on the year of publication; educational institution; area of knowledge; professional and academic background of the authors; keywords used; and concept map organization. METHOD Bibliometric study with a quantitative approach with a sample consisting of 57 papers, 5 theses and 52 dissertations, published between 2002 and 2012. RESULTS It was found that 2012 was the year with the highest number of publications in this topic area.

[Nursing care in terminality: compliance with principles of bioethics ].

The aim of the study was to investigate the principles of bioethics reported by nurses when caring for terminally ill patients. Exploratory research with qualitative approach, developed with fifteen nurses from an intensive care unit of a university hospital, in northeastern Brazil. Data collection was conducted between March and July 2013, through a form.

[Health-related quality of life among patients with advanced cancer: an integrative review].

This integrative literature review aimed to characterize scientific articles on health-related quality of life - HRQoL - among patients with advanced cancer from national and international literature, and summarize those factors evidenced in the literature that contributed to the improvement or worsening of HRQoL among patients with advanced cancer. The search for materials was conducted in the following databases: CINAHL, EMBASE, PubMed, SciELO and LILACS. Among the 21 articles in the sample, 13 showed an improvement of HRQoL among patients with advanced cancer related to the development of physical, emotional and spiritual interventions.

[Euthanasia, dysthanasia and orthothanasia: an integrative review of the literature].

There is currently widespread concern among researchers in debating questions that generate ethical conflicts within the scope of health care geared to the human being in the terminal phase, especially euthanasia, dysthanasia and orthothanasia. This study sought to characterize the scientific production at the national level on euthanasia, dysthanasia and orthothanasia. It involves an integrative review of the literature.

[Palliative care for HIV/AIDS patients: bioethical principles adopted by nurses].

This study sought to investigate the principles of bioethics considered by nurses involved in research while caring for patients with HIV/Aids under palliative care. An exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, was conducted with twelve nurses in a public hospital in the municipality of João Pessoa in the State of Paraíba. A form was used for data collection and the empirical material was analyzed qualitatively using the content analysis technique.

[Palliative care: communication as a strategy of care for the terminal patient].

Palliative care involves an approach in the field of care for terminal patients and their families that seeks to assure them better quality of life by establishing good communication. The scope of this study was to verify how nurses use communication in the field of palliative care when assisting patients in the terminal phase. This is exploratory research of a qualitative nature in which 28 nurses working in wards of a hospital in the city of Joao Pessoa in the State of Paraíba participated in the period from August to October 2012.

The importance of communication in pediatric oncology palliative care: focus on Humanistic Nursing Theory.

Objective: to investigate and analyze communication in palliative care contexts from the perspective of nurses, based on Humanistic Nursing Theory.

The discussion about the practice of psychological harassment has gained notoriety due to the intensification and the severity of the phenomenon in various scenarios, such as educational institutions, public agencies and private companies. This study aims to characterize the scientific production about the scenarios of psychological harassment in online journals in the areas of Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities from 2002 to 2010. This is an integrative literature review.

[Existential experience of mothers of hospitalized children in intensive pediatric care unit].

This study has the objective of understanding the existential experience of mothers of children hospitalized in an intensive pediatric care unit (IPCU). It is a qualitative-based research grounded on the humanistic nursing theory. The investigation scenario was the IPCU of a public hospital.
