Previous research have reported that modulating the gut microbiome composition by fecal microbiota transplantation and probiotic administration can alleviate seizure occurrence and severity. Saccharomyces boulardii (SB) is a yeast probiotic that has demonstrated ameliorating effects on anxiety, memory and cognitive deficit, and brain amyloidogenesis. In this research, our goal was to examine the anti-seizure effects of SB on the pentylenetetrazole (PTZ)-kindled male Wistar rats.

Zyxin (ZYX) is one of these factors that may be important in p53 level and function. Thus, the present work aimed to investigate the ZYX gene and protein expression in tumor tissue and matched margin tissue and its correlation with the p53 expression.

Specialized pro-resolving mediators (SPMs) are well known for their crucial role in promoting the resolution phase of inflammation and restoring tissue homeostasis. Resolvin D1 (RvD1) is an endogenous omega-3-derived lipid mediator with pro-resolving activity.

This study investigates the association between methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) genetic variants with these complications.
Methods: In this case-control study, 400 individuals, including 100 healthy subjects and 300 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in three subgroups: with retinopathy(n = 100), with neuropathy(n = 100), and without complication (n = 100) from West Iran, were studied.
Background: This study aimed to investigate the GP gene polymorphism (rs1050450), the level of oxidative stress and antioxidant parameters, and the lipid profile in an obese Kurdish population in Sulaimani, Iraq.
Methods: In a case-control study,134 obese subjects and 131 normal BMI healthy individuals participated. The GP gene polymorphism was assessed by Polymerase Chain Reaction-Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) method.
Background: The Apolipoprotein E (ApoE) polymorphism plays an important role in the pathophysiology of end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Additionally, ApoE may contribute to the progression of oxidative stress. Thus, this study aimed to determine the ApoE gene polymorphism and evaluate the malondialdehyde (MDA) level in ESRD patients and healthy individuals.

The aims of the present review were to look at the role and alteration of the RAAS components in SARS-CoV-2 infection, therapeutic approaches, and clinical trials in this field.
Methods: We surveyed the literature (PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus) till August 18, 2021, and 59 published papers regarding the components of the RAAS and their role and alterations in SARS-CoV-2 infection along with various COVID-19 therapies based on the RASS components were included in the study.
Introduction: Chronic hyperglycemia activates the inflammatory pathways and oxidative stress mechanisms with consequent damage to nerve tissue and retina. The Keap1-Nrf2 pathway acts as one of the most important antioxidant pathways of the organism. Variants of Keap1 could affect susceptibility to diabetes and its complications.

The expression of isoforms of SNAP-23, syntaxin-4, and VAMP-2 is significantly done in skeletal muscles; they control GLUT4 trafficking. It is believed that type 2 diabetes could be caused by the modifications in the expression of SNARE complex proteins.

This condition has recently been shown to be accompanied by angiogenesis. The cascade starts with iron accumulation leading to an increase in CD and CD cells responsible for initiating the inflammation.

Fork head-related transcription factor (FOXO) proteins are important transcriptional factors involved in oxidative stress and insulin resistance. Resveratrol (RSV) is a polyphenol with hypoglycemic and antioxidant properties.

Trace element homeostasis causes disturbances in diabetes due to hyperglycemia. Superoxide dismutase (SOD), an antioxidant enzyme, contains zinc and copper ions as its cofactors.

Thirty male Wistar rats divided into five groups of six animals each were used for this study. For ten days, Groups one to four continuously received 50, 100, 150 and 200 mg/kg nZnO, respectively.

Resveratrol (RVS) corrects insulin secretion and improves insulin sensitivity. We investigated the RVS effects on serum antioxidants, insulin and glucose levels, also visfatin and vaspin genes expression in adipose tissue of streptozotocin-nicotinamide (STZ-NA) induced type 2 diabetic rats.

Isoforms of the SNAP23, syntaxin-4 and VAMP-2 play an important role in regulating GLUT-4 trafficking and fusion in adipocytes. The changes of SNARE proteins levels and thus impaired GLUT-4 displacement can be one of the etiological causes of type 2 diabetes.

Oxidative stress, advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) and receptor for advanced glycation end-products (RAGE) play key role in the pathogenesis of diabetes. New and safe strategies of remedy are needed for this disease.
