Objectives: To validate the performance of Mirai, a mammography-based deep learning model, in predicting breast cancer risk over a 1-5-year period in Mexican women.
Methods: This retrospective single-center study included mammograms in Mexican women who underwent screening mammography between January 2014 and December 2016. For women with consecutive mammograms during the study period, only the initial mammogram was included.
Children are more sensitive to ionizing radiation than adults. Even though the risk is very low, exposure from radiological examinations can possibly cause them long-term side effects. Recent large epidemiological studies involving children and young adults have added evidence suggesting that even small doses of radiation, such as those from computed tomography scans, might slightly increase the risk of developing cancer later in life.

Several radiological societies advocate for standardised and structured reporting practices to enhance the uniformity of imaging language. Compared to narrative formats, standardised and structured reports offer enhanced content quality, minimise reader variability, have the potential to save reporting time, and streamline the communication between specialists by employing a shared lexicon.

Introduction: Following the INPULSIS and ASCEND studies, leading to the first two approved antifibrotic therapies for patients with IPF, ongoing investigations are firmly exploring novel agents for a targeted effective and better tolerated therapy able to improve the natural history of the disease.
Areas Covered: This review aims to analyze recent advances in pharmacological research of IPF, discussing the currently available treatments and the novel drugs under investigation in phase 3 trials, with particular emphasis on BI 1015550 and inhaled treprostinil. The literature search utilized Medline and Clinicaltrials.
Chyloperitoneum arises from lymph leakage into the abdominal cavity, leading to an accumulation of milky fluid rich in triglycerides. Diagnosis can be challenging, and mortality rates vary depending on the underlying cause, with intestinal volvulus being just one potential acute cause. Despite its rarity, our case series highlights chyloperitoneum associated with non-ischemic small bowel volvulus.

Methods: A survey (29 questions) was distributed to residents and board-certified radiologists younger than 40 years to investigate the current international situation in young radiology community regarding CM and ADRs. Descriptive statistics analysis was performed.
Voiding cystourethrography (VCUG) is a fluoroscopic technique that allows the assessment of the urinary tract, including the urethra, bladder, and-if vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) is present-the ureters and the pelvicalyceal systems. The technique also allows for the assessment of bladder filling and emptying, providing information on anatomical and functional aspects. VCUG is, together with contrast-enhanced voiding urosonography (VUS), still the gold standard test to diagnose VUR and it is one of the most performed fluoroscopic examinations in pediatric radiology departments.

Only a handful of severe side effects such as intestinal perforations and fistulas have been described in the literature in patients undergoing multikinase inhibitor treatment. We report a case of a patient with peritoneal mCRC who experienced an intestinal perforation during the administration of Regorafenib and review the literature.

The first part of this review provides an overview of MB disorders, exploring the most common types of MB diseases. The second part then emphasizes the state-of-the-art approaches proposed in the literature for screening and follow-up with MB cancer patients, which highlights the importance of tailored strategies for diagnosis, follow-up, and identifying high-risk populations.

Introduction: Currently approved drug treatments for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), pirfenidone and nintedanib, have been shown to slow lung function decline and improve clinical outcomes. Since significant advances in the understanding of pathogenetic mechanisms in IPF, novel potential agents are being tested to identify new targeted and better tolerated therapeutic strategies.
Areas Covered: This review describes the evidence from IPF phase II and III clinical trials that have been completed or are ongoing in recent years.
Osteosarcoma (OS) of the head and neck is a rare and aggressive disease characterized by the formation of osteoid by malignant osteoblasts. The mandible or maxilla are the most common sites of presentation. Radiologically, these tumors show considerable, destructive growth with periosteal reaction, which can suggest the diagnosis of OS.

However, beyond the prostate gland, several key structures are included in the field of view of mpMRI scans. Consequently, various extra-prostatic incidental findings (IFs) belonging to different anatomical systems can be accidentally recognized.

Material And Methods: Sixty-six consecutive patients with histologically documented CRC and available VMI reconstructions were retrospectively investigated. Subsequently, forty-two patients, without any colonic disease at colonoscopy, were selected as control group.
Barium inhalation usually relates to accidental aspiration during radiological procedures with an oral contrast agent. When present, barium lung deposits are visible as high-density opacities on chest X-ray or CT scan due to high atomic number, and they may be indistinguishable from calcifications. Dual-layer spectral CT has shown good material differentiation capabilities, due to its increased high-Z element range and smaller spectral separation between low- and high-energy spectral data.

Contrast-enhanced computed tomography of the abdomen demonstrates mechanical ileus due to volvulus of the transverse colon: torsion of the transverse mesocolon is confirmed and subtotaly colectomy is performed, revealing multiple ischemic areas with focal perforations. DMD is frequently associated with gastrointestinal motility disorders, including chronic constipation and life-threatening conditions like intestinal pseudo-obstruction and sigmoid volvulus.

To date, pathogenetic mechanisms and clinical management remain challenging; thus, we highlight the recent evidence in pulmonary fibrotic processes, clinical signs for an early detection and the potential role of the current investigated antifibrotic agents and promising targeted therapies.
Recent Findings: Recent findings of relevant key cellular pathways can be considered as a glimmer of light in the complexity of sarcoidosis.
The canal of Nuck is an abnormal patent pouch of the parietal peritoneum caused by the incomplete obliteration of the processus vaginalis in females. The most common disorders of the canal of Nuck are: hernia, hydrocele and endometriosis. Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP) is a clinical condition characterized by the accumulation of mucinous material on the surfaces and in the recesses of the peritoneal cavity, resulting from the perforation of an appendiceal mucinous neoplasm.
