Here we report the results of a study on the association between drug delivery via intravenous route or intraosseous route in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Intraosseous drug delivery is considered an alternative option in resuscitation if intravenous access is difficult or impossible. Intraosseous uptake of drugs may, however, be compromised.

Introduction: Crowding of the emergency departments is an increasing problem. Many patients with an exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are often treated in the emergency departments for a very short period before discharged to their homes. We collected registry- and questionnaire-based data on socio-economic and health status, tumor- and treatment-related variables, and explored associations with receipt of reconstruction and information about treatment options in a nationwide cohort of Danish women, treated for primary breast cancer.
