Two bases-decavanadates coordination compounds [(CHN)][Mg(HO)][OV].6HO (1) and [(CHN)][Mg(HO)][OV].4HO (2) have been synthesized and well characterized using vibrational spectroscopy (infrared), UV-Visible analysis and single crystal X-ray diffraction technique.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA 3D-supramolecular nickel integrated Ni-SDZ complex was synthesized using sodium salt of sulfadiazine as the ligand and nickel(II) acetate as the metal salt using a condensation process and slow evaporation approach to growing the single crystal. The metal complex was characterized for its composition, functional groups, surface morphology as well as complex 3D structure, by resorting to various analytical techniques. The interacting surface and stability as well as reactivity of the complex were carried out using the DFT platform.

The synthesis molecular structure of the dinuclear [Ag(CHNOS)(CHN)] complex reveals a one-dimensional polymeric chain with seesaw geometry (τ = 0.

The aim of this in vitro study was to determine: (i) the immunolocalization, mRNA expression and tissue concentration of PPARα, PPARδ and PPARγ in the bovine corpus luteum (CL) ( = 40) throughout the estrous cycle, and (ii) the involvement of PPAR in PGF-induced processes related to luteolysis. CL ( = 9) explants were cultured in the presence of PPAR antagonists (10 M) in combination with or without PGF receptor antagonist (10 M) and PGF (10 M).

Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) are a family of nuclear receptors that is composed of three isoforms: PPARα, PPARβ/δ and PPARγ. The ratio of two isoforms of PPARγ (1 and 2) varies among both species and tissues. The activity of PPARs can be modified by a number of endogenous compounds, including arachidonic acid (AA), its eicosanoid metabolites and synthetic ligands.

The aim was to determine the dynamic profile of interactions between Escherichia coli (E. coli) and the actions of leukotrienes (LTs) and TNF and INFγ (cytokines) in the uterus in vitro. Uterine explants (N=6) were incubated for 2, 12 and 24h either as E.

To date, we showed that steroids secretion and prolactin expression and proliferative processes are disturbed during uterine adenomyosis in cows. During endometriosis in eutopic endometrium in women, gap junctions are down regulated.

It is suggested that adenomyosis is estrogen-dependent pathology, and prolactin (PRL) also affects its development. In the uterus of ruminants, PRL stimulates gland proliferation and function.

Background: Adenomyosis is a proliferative uterine dysfunction with unknown aetiology. One possible mechanism of its development involves disturbances in stem cell differentiation in uterine tissue. Previously, we identified pluripotent/multipotent cells in the bovine uterus, therefore our present study focused on determining expression of pluripotency markers, NANOG, OCT4 and SOX2, in bovine adenomyotic tissues and cells.

So far, adenomyosis has been diagnosed in women and rodents, and studies conducted on cows have been rare. In this review we: (1) summarize the knowledge regarding adenomyosis, (2) compare the symptoms and aetiopathology between women and cows, (3) describe angiogenic uterine processes related to adenomyosis development and (4) outline the influence of adenomyosis on proper fertility processes in cattle (conception and fertility rates).

Etiopathology of adenomyosis has not been clearly defined but it potentially interferes reproductive processes in cattle. The aim of this initial study was to evaluate the impact of age on the frequency of adenomyosis in cows.

However, only a few studies concerning soft tissue sarcomas have been published. Biopsies of 81 patients with soft tissue sarcomas, referred for primary or secondary surgery, were analysed by flow cytometry to determine cellular DNA content of tumours.

This study compares urinary catecholamines and metabolites in 17 rape victims to two female control groups (one of which engaged in normal sexual intercourse and the other did not). We found, in the rape victims, unexpected changes in the excretion pattern of catecholamines and metabolites as compared to the various control groups.
