A facile and simple electrochemical composite sensor, CDs-Ag@CuO-GA, prepared from carbon dots stabilized silver nanoparticles and copper oxide, was used as an electrocatalyst and signal amplifier for the non-enzymatic detection of antibiotic traces in food products. The prepared composite demonstrated excellent stability, sensitivity, and cost-effectiveness. The sensor was constructed by modifying a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with CDs-Ag@CuO-GA, and the electroanalytical response was determined for the precise determination of metronidazole (MTZ) drug traces in milk.

In this study, MBG was synthesized using the cheaper reagent SiOby using a co-precipitation approach. The surface properties of MBG ceramic were tailored by functionalizing with amino and carboxylic groups, aiming to develop an efficient drug delivery system for treating bone infections occurring during or after reconstruction surgeries.

These assemblies are derivatives of azobenzene, obtained by the substitution of electron-withdrawing and electron-donating groups onto the molecular skeleton. The interaction energies () of all the designed supramolecular complexes (IA-IF, IIA-IIF and IIIA-IIIF) range from -1.

Metabolic deregulations during diabetic conditions are linked to mitochondrial dysfunctions, which are the key contributing factors in cardiac hypertrophy. However, the underlying mechanisms involved in diabetes-induced cardiac hypertrophy are poorly understood.

The chemical structure of 1 was elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis and quantum-mechanical calculations of C NMR resonances and ECD to possess an unprecedented 6/6/11-fused tricyclic skeleton, including an isoquinolindione ring in place of the typical isoindolone. Asporychalasin exhibited moderate antiproliferative activity against three human cancer cell lines, lung carcinoma (A549), liver carcinoma (HepG2), and breast carcinoma (MCF7), and no toxicity on zebrafish embryos.

Objective: This case-control study was aimed to evaluate effect of RET G691S, S904S and L769L single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) on the risk for differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC).
Methods: A total of 180 patients and 220 controls were genotyped by Polymerase chain reaction - restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP).
The new asperorlactone (), along with the known illudalane sesquiterpene echinolactone D (), two known pyrones, 4-(hydroxymethyl)-5-hydroxy-2-pyran-2-one () and its acetate , and 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde (), were isolated from a culture of , collected from Red Sea marine sediments. The structure of asperorlactone () was elucidated by HR-ESIMS, 1D, and 2D NMR, and a comparison between experimental and DFT calculated electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra. This is the first report of illudalane sesquiterpenoids from fungi and, more in general, from ascomycetes.

Radiations are an efficient treatment modality in cancer therapy. Besides the treatment effects of radiations, the ionizing radiations interact with biological systems and generate reactive oxygen species that interfere with the normal cellular process. Previous investigations have been conducted only on few synthetic radioprotectors, mainly owing to some limiting effects.

Although different molecular techniques, most importantly sequencing has been widely recognized as a gold standard but molecular diagnosis remains an expensive, laborious, and time-intensive process. Recently, immunohistochemistry (IHC) with anti-BRAF V600E (VE1) antibody has increased practical utility and implemented clinically for the detection of BRAF mutation.
