A case study of abdominal wall and limb necrotizing fasciitis: an extremely rare post -operative complication.

Introduction: Infectious affections are the most frequent post-operative complications, the rate have been reducing due to the administration of perioperative antibiotics and they are rarely serious. They are usually associated to pelvic collections, fistulas, urinary tract stenosis and, exceptionally, necrotizing fasciitis (FN) and pelvic organ necrosis. There is no well-codified treatment.

Surgical resection of a massive residual retroperitoneal mass after chemotherapy for a paratesticular rhabdomyosarcoma: a case report.

Introduction: Paratesticular rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare and aggressive mesenchymal tumor, accounting for only 7% of all rhabdomyosarcomas. It is mainly encountered in children and adolescents. The standard treatment consists of radical orchidectomy with negative surgical margins.

Mucinous borderline ovarian tumors: pathological and prognostic study at Salah Azaiez Institute.

Introduction: ovarian Mucinous Borderline Tumors (MBT) are characterized by an epithelial proliferation similar to those of well differentiated adenocarcinomas but are distinguished by the absence of stromal invasion. They are often difficult to diagnose histologically. The aim of the work was to specify the pathological and clinical features and to highlight the prognostic of these tumors.

An incidental finding of retroperitoneal paraganglioma during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic: a case report.

Background: Extra-adrenal paraganglioma of the retroperitoneum is a very rare neoplasm arising from cells of the primitive neural crest. Although paragangliomas are considered benign and are often found incidentally, they have the potential to metastasize.

Case Presentation: We report the case of a 68-year-old Caucasian woman with an incidental diagnosis of retroperitoneal paraganglioma that was discovered on chest computed tomography performed for high suspicion of coronavirus disease 2019 pneumonia.

Survival After Pelvic Exenteration for Cervical Cancer.

Background: The purpose of this work was to identify the results of pelvic exenteration for recurrent, persistent or locally advanced cervical cancer in terms of survival performed for 41 patients in Salah Azaiez Institute.

Patients And Methods: We conducted a retrospective unicentric study. The association between PE and OS was estimated using the method of Kaplan-Meier using SPSS ver 24.

A renal angiomyolipoma with a challenging presentation: a case report.

Introduction: Renal angiomyolipoma is considered a benign mesenchymal tumor composed of fat, smooth muscle, and blood vessels. It represents 1-3% of solid renal tumors. Despite this tumor's benignity, it can be aggressive with a locoregional extension.

Therapeutic leukapheresis and thrombapheresis in medical emergencies.

The management of hyperleukocytosis or thrombocytosis by therapeutic cytapheresis in the early 21 st century is far from codified (universal). Therapeutic cytapheresis have been proposed to achieve more rapid cytoreduction in peripheral blood than old universal support in order to quickly prevent potential complications. But, there are no randomized studies demonstrating the superiority of cytapheresis over other treatments alone.

[Squamous cells carcinoma of the renal pelvis discovered due to parietal and skin invasion: an uncommon manifestation].

We here report a rare case of squamous cells carcinoma of the renal pelvis with abdominal wall skin invasion in a patient with a history of recurrent upper urinary tract infections due to kidney stones. A right lumbar skin lesion was the reason for consultation. Uroscanner showed right renal mass extended to the adjacent soft tissues.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to identify points on the scapula that can be used to predict the anatomy of the native premorbid glenoid.

Material And Methods: Forty-three normal scapulas reconstructed in 3D and positioned in a common coordinate system were used. Twenty points distributed over the blade of the scapula (portion considered normal and used as a reference) and the glenoid (portion considered pathological and needing to be reconstructed) were captured manually.

Views on a new surgical assistance method for implanting the glenoid component during total shoulder arthroplasty. Part 2: From three-dimensional reconstruction to augmented reality: Feasibility study.

Introduction: The main goal of this study was to propose a new method of surgical assistance for the implantation of a total shoulder prosthesis, with the use of augmented reality (AR). The advantage of this approach is that it supplements information, on the one hand pre-existing or disappeared due to a pathological process, such as the premorbid glenoid, and on the other hand already existing but not accessible to the surgeon during the procedure, such as the so-called "hidden" face of the scapula.

Modelling the relationship between poverty, environment, and institutions: a panel data study.

The paper examines the relationship between poverty and CO emission. We contribute by using a global panel data of 146 countries over the period 1996-2014 and by focusing on the role of institution in poverty and environmental degradation nexus. The main findings are that the non-linearity relationship between poverty and CO emission could prompt a further increase in the poverty and environmental degradation.

Shoulder patient-specific guide: First experience in 10 patients indicates room for improvement.

Background: Implantation of the glenoid component of a total shoulder prosthesis can be facilitated by using a patient-specific guide (PSG) designed to ensure replication of the preoperatively planned position. The objective of this study was to assess the reliability and accuracy of a PSG in replicating the planned glenoid component position during total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA).

Hypothesis: Additional criteria should be used for 3D preoperative planning and PSG design to further improve the accuracy of glenoid component positioning.
